Very cool. One of the things I lamented was the inability to really get a sort of exploration feel of the enterprise experiences. Would be cool if it were also easier to bring them back for upgrading and send them back out to the edges of known space without losing too much time (all 4X games have a bit of a rush factor in this aspect that makes turning around a bit impractical).
That is where our ship speed changes come in. In addition, flagships get access to very powerful exploration modules that can greatly increase their speeds, if you so wish.
Great idea, speaking of TNG era, D'Deridex served as Capital ship for Romulans and Vor'cha a for Klingons, later in DS9 Negh'var. Could be Scimitar considered Capital ship for Romulans at later stages? For Cardassian Galor and later Keldon class?

Do AIs build science Flagships and explorer ships (of the sort that can fight) as well?
So flag ships don’t fire... what’s the point in having weapons or will this be changed

We are going to look at player's feedback for this patch and accordingly, decide how, and if, we should extend it to other species as well.
