Another great video dave could tell you was really enjoying the fishing. There are some really nice roach and dace up that area roach 1lbs and dace up to 6 oz. There was rumours years ago someone reported there was a few barbel caught on the tip on the stretch at Roughwood lane near the locks. Fished it in winter bronze maggot down the track and caster across and had some great days fishing keep the videos coming Dave great video and commentary tight lines 🎣👍
Since a kid I've always looked out for that white painted bridge as a guide to how far we'd travelled but never seen anyone fishing there, looks very good.
I grew up in middlewich in the 60s .I can vaguely remember the Murgatroyd works in its last days. You wouldn't catch more than a mangey stickleback in those days. Salinity or chemical, dunno.around the corner the Shropshire union would fish but not the Trent and Mersey. Good to see it has been cleaned up and become a great resource.
once again you have kept the shandy drinker entertained with a canal match. Have tried my local basingstoke canal but to have a proper go think i need another 3 match top kits for the light elastics which is a stretch too far at the moment.I,ll stick to blanking for the barbel on the Thames. Having said that the roach fishing in daylight is fantastic.
well done Dave bad luck on not qualifying, one of your best videos to date great to watch proper fishing not dragging carp out of an overstocked puddle (boring).Keep 'em coming mate.
I'm only 6 minutes in and I would've been rubbing my hands if I caught a near half pound roach on the punch at the off 😆👏 I used to love fishing for roach on hemp & tares either down the cut or the Trent, and a nice roach like that would've got my adrenaline hitting the roof 😆

It's all fishing mate.
Loved this, Dave. Is there anything more exciting than first put with a caster or hemp on the hook.
Then that dry mouth when it doesn't go under 😭
A hard working day Dave, bank clearing, scale’s filming near 10 lb caught, your arms must ache, great watch.
All in a days work😂
