- The Perthshire fiddle-player and composer, Niel Gow (1727--1807), was born near Dunkeld and lived most of his life in the nearby village of Inver. His musical legacy has lasted more than 200 years and his compositions are as popular now as ever. Dunkeld's "other" fiddler, Pete Clark, presents this account of Niel Gow from the ballroom of Blair Castle and includes many of the tunes that Niel Gow composed -- played by Pete Clark on a fiddle which once belonged to Gow himself.
