Remember that Wildlands wasn't so popular at launch. Think I got it 3 years after launch and me and 3 other friends played the crap out of it. It's very cinematic.
I remember not loving the beta of Wildlands so I didn't buy it.. Until I played Breakpoint and the whole environment felt so empty without the locals and your squad. Ran to get Wildlands ASAP
Wildland's Bolivian setting is believable, I still play to this day. Nothing about Breakpoint's AI drones and behemoth boss fights are believable - just a copy from other games.

Weird, I haven't played this game in years, yet I think I recognize this spot 2:59 as the nuke mission location. Where you have to hold position [usually on that 8 ball building's rooftop] and then take the truck and drive it into the quarry before it explodes. I knew that whole Wildlands map like the back of my hand, which came in handy for doing the challenges. But they kept using the same building models over and over so maybe I'm wrong. Definity Deja vu for that mission when I saw the fountain and that building across the street though. I'd turn off all my HUD's for the story missions and then go into multi-player, forgetting to turn them back, on and end up shooting my own team. Fun stuff. Thanks for the memories.

Got a gaming PC recently and Wildlands was one of the first games I bought. Playing it at ultra settings and higher frame rates after 30fps on console for so long is absolutely glorious. Extreme, no HUD, with a tasty reshade and the mod which removes the "thunk" hit marker and beeping detection sounds and it's like playing a new version of the game. Still one of my favourites after all these years.
Just restarted the game last week as well, its great. I'm just at the beginning of the video, so I don't know if you'll do that later on, but there is a button to holster the weapons which I think is great for immersion in situations like that where you're just walking in the town
lol no, it's rated where it should be. Great graphics and some solid design mechanics don't accommodate for the fact the pacing is pretty atrocious, the missions are highly repetitive, and the AI isn't very good at all. The game should not have been stretched out to 100 hours because it didn't have 100 hours worth of content like Red Dead 2 did.
Feels embarrassing to admit I found out about this game 2 years ago but since I did, it has easily became my favorite game. Can’t stop playing it. And it’s almost 7 years old that’s crazy
Right? I found it 3 years ago and have ehh, 700 hrs into it or so. I just love GR:WL, i've played it enough to actually notice which guns play the best for me, but all the guns in game work. And I've only just gotten comfortable in Tier mode clearing buildings, after all these hrs (it's also my first shooter). I see why so many people carry the SMG now. But I'll never stop loving my AUG, I put the 3 round burst on it, and set it for max range loud, and Oof. It feels like a laser cannon the way it beams down enemies from a distance. The play feels good, but the scenery brings me back over and over again. What do you like about the game?
I am following your RUclips channel for like three years and watching most of your videos. I really like them, to come down and chill watching your videos, after work is the treat for the day. Am playing this game right now. Found it a few weeks ago for a price I liked. The atmosphere in this game is great. It is really fun. I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually from Bolivia would see this and say it is spot on. Thats what someone said about Montana in Far Cry 5.
Best game I have ever played. i fell in love with this game within the first five minutes I played it. just last year I finally started playing the pve cause I had only played the pvp. i still play this game and pretty much the only game I play.
Future Soldier is still my favorite, played a ton of it with a friend back in the day. Wildlands does come close though and with its open world aspect is arguably better. I just wish there would be a new tactical sim style Ghost Recon with room clearing tactics and all that sweet stuff.
One of the funnest coop experiences I ever had. As a Navy Vet I would drink some beers and play with random vets and other people in general. Definitely was a good time.
Gameplay and overall feel, Wildlands. Looks and environment , Breakpoint. Wildlands is fun while Breakpoint is tactical. Marine buddies and I play Breakpoint together and play Wildlands by ourselves. My kids like fun and I like realism. It feels like a most of the team worked on Wildlands and only the smartest ones worked on Breakpoint. At the end of the day video games were created to be enjoyed.
One of the greatest games ever made....I knew a coke dealer back in the 90s, and he got his stuff directly from the Mexican Cartels, and he told me once "You do not EVER want to mess with those guys, they will kill you on the spot..." so the Cartels in this game are very familiar, realistic, and deadly......
Man, this game being almost 6 years old is insane. I played the beta and enjoyed it just as much as the full release. I still have yet to dip my toes into the dlc though.
i got into breakpoint instead of wildlands but after watching a lot of tactical-adjacent content from you and others i feel like i have been playing these games all wrong! gonna look into wildlands now
I played it when it came out, I really liked the coop stealth aspect and the visual aspects most, like the feel as well It has room for changes and improvement, and the vehicles are mostly just ugh (although the helis got un-crapped in a later update) but it still was pretty nice
Ever since I played the beta where you got to mess around in a few different regions I completely fell in love with this game and I instantly pre ordered it. Haven’t really played a game since then that brought me as much joy and satisfaction as playing this game even beating it completely solo
Totally agree on the immersion thing btw. I just had a son, he's a month old now, i don't even bother booting up my pc now... Had the same when my daughter was born, took about six months until i could play the way i like 😂
the battles that would randomly take place around the world when Rebels, Unidad and SB came into contact were amazing. They lasted so long and the carnage and burnt out cars on the road after a 20 minute firefight was always immersive.
I put soooooooooooooo much time into this game. Like, a RIDICULOUS amount of time into this game. Mostly just helping randoms get trough the game….but man did I have a good time.
I have now done 90 hours in break point in 3 weeks. But after these images I go back to wildlands. Sometimes it feels a little better. The emptiness of break point. UHH

It has all of these contrasting and contradicting elements to its design, as Ubisoft was trying to make two games for opposing audiences.
@@billywashere6965The original ghost recon arent that good. Its just nostalgia of older people.Wildlands is way better upgrade from the old games. They just cant accept it.
@@contra7631 I played both and you're wrong lol
The original ghost recon was realistic, tactical, and unforgiving.
One bullet you die
You are just as vulnerable as the enemies if you're not careful
I love Wildlands it still has that element but it is not an upgrade on the realistic and tactical side
But it's still more tactical and realistic than other games at the time
finally someone gets back into it! damn! so many hours poured into such a fun game!
I’ve still got friends discovering this game and sinking HOURS into it to this day. I wish there was some sort of mods or custom missions
There is first person mod which i cant make it to work. You should try.
On Pc there are some mods up on nexus
just got this game last week havent been able to put it down coming from a lifetime of halo and COD ive never played anything like this in my life and it has changed me as a gamer forever
It is a good on-boarding point for mil-sim gaming. I like the pace of it more though, the stealth aspect makes it top tier. It's like chess with guns, sometimes.
Wow I still play this game in 2023 all the time but didnt expect it to get coverage anymore, thanks Drewski! Awesome video. Ill see ya in bolivia
This game feels like where my mind goes when I sleep, the music, the beautiful scenery, good oul tactical pews.. just something great about this game was surprised to see Drew playin it but happy to chill
Both Wildlands and Breakpoint have a special place in my heart. I often go back to those games every now and then.
Breakpoint is a great game. Did it launch well ? No. But the devs worked on it and towards the end it is easily one of the great ones out there.
@@nomustacheguy5249 I was excited for breakpoint, it looks good the intro was cool. Actually playing though? besides looking better, idk. if you took breakpoint graphics and mechanics, slapped them into GRW i think it would be better. A base hidden in a mountain of rebels fighting to free their country from the cartel. idk just could not get into it like GRW. Decent game though.
@@Unsp0kenProphet both have their own mechanics. There are gameplay elements that are just better in breakpoint. Story-wise both are too loony if you ask me. But I will agree Bolivia was beautifully rendered in wildlands
@@nomustacheguy5249 too bad ubisoft just can’t seem to get their priorities right and instead of making a 3rd one where they listen to the fans’ feedback and combine the strengths of Wildlands and Breakpoint, they tried to make ghost recon into a battle royale game.
@@nightwing268 ugh don't remind me. I almost forgot the BR abomination still exists. I was hoping it was one of the 7 cancelled titles that ubisoft announced.
I will always love Ghost Recon Wildlands. This is the game that let me meet all of my current friends and it introduced me to my current favorite genre of games. After 6 years, it's still the best coop shooter on the market and will most likely hold this title forever.
Cyberpunk dystopia where all people's friends are online and there's no local community.
Still actively playing that gem.
I am so grateful, that I bought that game 3 years ago
Holy hell, the getaway after 11 minutes had my heart racing and put a giant smile on my face. Those moments are what makes Wildlands so great
I rly like this sort of video format of just Drewski big chillin late at night playing a good game
One of my favorite games of all time. I remember me and my buddy got the platinum trophy on PlayStation
Drewski I'm not even going to lie I literally started tearing up when I saw this this was my favorite series on your entire Channel and I've dreamed of it coming back. I can't believe it's back bro I'm literally jumping up and down excited right now thank you so much please make more of these please
This was my first ever game on the PS4, time really flies
Got a gaming PC recently and Wildlands was one of the first games I bought. Playing it at ultra settings and higher frame rates after 30fps on console for so long is absolutely glorious. Extreme, no HUD, with a tasty reshade and the mod which removes the "thunk" hit marker and beeping detection sounds and it's like playing a new version of the game. Still one of my favourites after all these years.
I wish i could experience that. I’m stuck playing the ps5 version of the game
@@hagriddy8is that version bad?
We have Locotos, Ajis, Uchus, Comeruchus, Ulipica. A lot of spicy plants mate.
Just restarted the game last week as well, its great.
I'm just at the beginning of the video, so I don't know if you'll do that later on, but there is a button to holster the weapons which I think is great for immersion in situations like that where you're just walking in the town
Ghost recon wildlands is an amazing game. And it is still so nice to play
Dammit Drewski, I've been trying to talk myself out of starting this one back up for a couple weeks now... Now I fear it's inevitable!
Without any futuristic weapons, this episode came back to old GR roots and gives the same feeling when I had to plan every move. Love this
GR Wildlands is such an underrated game and after all the updates throughout it's lifetime the game is virtually perfect
Except for the fact that cars have no horn :(
lol no, it's rated where it should be.
Underrated? We know.
Drew walking through the town at 2:16 gave me flashbacks to that god damn dirty bomb mission
lmao it's a mfer. The expansion missions are obnoxious.
That’s how I play, sometimes I sit on the menu screen and blast the music just get into the zone before I start 😂
I am following your RUclips channel for like three years and watching most of your videos.
I really like them, to come down and chill watching your videos, after work is the treat for the day.
It doesn’t matter to me if it’s Escape from Tarcov, DCS, VR Flight Simulator, Ghost Reacon.👍🏻
Your content and playstyle as well expression and love to gaming are so authentic and I think that’s what make your videos so awesome.
Please keep going🙏🏻 and stay gaming all day and night. ( Although you need some sleep, na just kidding real gamers need no sleep) 😉
I love this game . U just made me want to play it again . I think I’m gng to load it back up.
Honestly you just strolling through this town talking about whatever is actually really breathtaking. It reminds of scenes where the squad is just hanging out shootin the shit before going on a mission. Makes me wanna redownload this game
duude, your editing's so great
Honestly, I would love to see another Wildlands video from you. I watched your others from when you game came out to the dlc quests. They were great 👍
Am playing this game right now.
Found it a few weeks ago for a price I liked. The atmosphere in this game is great. It is really fun. I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually from Bolivia would see this and say it is spot on.
Thats what someone said about Montana in Far Cry 5.
I have been playing this game since the closed beta. It's always been incredible.
Some of the in-game commentary is surprisingly sharp and, at times, subversive regarding the utility of military interventionist.
it is. i was impressed, even if a lot of the other lines are a bit forced or blunt.
I always loved the vehicle damage in this game. Always fun to find some obscure vehicle and have a demo derby with friends
It was such a fun game, long as hell but that was also worth it. Put in hundreds of hours into this game and I don't regret it at all
Best game I have ever played. i fell in love with this game within the first five minutes I played it. just last year I finally started playing the pve cause I had only played the pvp. i still play this game and pretty much the only game I play.
Semper Fortis Shipmate!
Wildlands is so good, makes me feel like playing it again. I’ve got over 400 hrs in it and I treasure how great it was to me.
Only Drew could call red-ass chili peppers "jalapenos" 😆
Haven't played it in a few years. It has its faults but I always thought that it was underrated. Cool that you're playing it again!
This game surprised the fuck out of me. Really fun and actually insanely hard.
This is one of the most immersive games I've played. The only problem is that it was made by Bugisoft, throws you off the immersion from time to time
This brings back memories, how I found your channel actually!
Making me nostalgic for Wildlands again! Damnit Drew!
I'm not sure if Drew's tried the first person mod of GRW but, I would definitely like to see a video on that
Man, this game being almost 6 years old is insane. I played the beta and enjoyed it just as much as the full release. I still have yet to dip my toes into the dlc though.
the opening feels so good 🎵
i got into breakpoint instead of wildlands but after watching a lot of tactical-adjacent content from you and others i feel like i have been playing these games all wrong! gonna look into wildlands now
If they remastered this I would pay full price
I played it when it came out, I really liked the coop stealth aspect and the visual aspects most, like the feel as well
It has room for changes and improvement, and the vehicles are mostly just ugh (although the helis got un-crapped in a later update)
but it still was pretty nice
this game had one of the coolest reveal trailers to date
I cannot believe it’s been 6 years. Great game so much fun with friends
Wildlands gameplay is way better then part 2, Breakpoint
One of the most underrated open world games made
Bro I Remember When The Beta For This Game Came Out I Was On It Nonstop Goin Around Shootin Shit Up With The Homies🤣
Ever since I played the beta where you got to mess around in a few different regions I completely fell in love with this game and I instantly pre ordered it. Haven’t really played a game since then that brought me as much joy and satisfaction as playing this game even beating it completely solo
This is how I enjoy a Game !! Wildlands I really miss this days.
Totally agree on the immersion thing btw. I just had a son, he's a month old now, i don't even bother booting up my pc now... Had the same when my daughter was born, took about six months until i could play the way i like 😂
This is 80% off on Steam right now, 29 April 2023. I want to buy it but I am not sure my old laptop could handle the min requirements.
i used to play this game so much...jump in and do multiplayer and go around the map killing, was super fun
I still play this game, I’m currently completing the game to 100% so I can play the new one
Ghost war 4v4 multiplayer is great too, shame nobody plays it
I still play it on steam, I never got a chance to beat it bc the game is so massive. After I watch this I’m going to go ahead and re install
I don't know how many more videos we have to make to tell Ubisoft how much we want a worthy sequel of Wildlands..
Hopefully it's coming.
the battles that would randomly take place around the world when Rebels, Unidad and SB came into contact were amazing. They lasted so long and the carnage and burnt out cars on the road after a 20 minute firefight was always immersive.
Man this game is one of the best games ever
Ghost reco. Has some of the best battle play
My baby momma's father cant handle black pepper so I think you've got him beat in your spice tolerance
Love the voice actors all being Mexican despite the setting in Bolivia.😂
I put soooooooooooooo much time into this game. Like, a RIDICULOUS amount of time into this game. Mostly just helping randoms get trough the game….but man did I have a good time.
6 years old !!?!? Holy shit I still love this game
It's a beautiful game that's pretty well balanced, especially for the time. And the gunsmith is top tier, imo. It's got major staying power.
I have now done 90 hours in break point in 3 weeks. But after these images I go back to wildlands. Sometimes it feels a little better. The emptiness of break point. UHH
