- Malcolm Butler made one of the most iconic plays in NFL history, but what ever happened to Butler? Was he a one play wonder or what? Today, we will talk about his story, enjoy l!
Butler became a New England legend the minute he made THE single greatest play in SB history. I bought his jersey immediately afterwards and still have it until this day. It’s one of my most prized New England sports possessions. Right up there with my Brady and Moss jerseys.
No matter what..He will always be the guy that won the super bowl against the Hawks. Thanks for all you did in New England Malcolm.
Yet Brady will get ALL the credit for it. Smh
Malcolm "Strap" Butler was a very good football player who gave you every ounce of his ability.
Malcolm Butler was good for a few years after his super bowl pick 💯
i actually know malcom butler
No lie he used to be my neighbor in these apartments where I used to live he lived right next door and sometimes he would come out to play football with the kids around the neighborhood
My boyfriend went to the university of west Alabama with him in 2012-2013.
Bill Belichek felt differently.
They need to make a movie about this man.
How can you be a bust if you were undrafted?
Fuck all that, I'm from Boston and this man is and will always be a Legend to me.
Hell never have to buy a drink in Boston.
But ..a reminder that NFL stands for "NOT FOR LONG"
Love Malcolm, great guy
BELICHICK LOVE him
Call .Malcolm back after
Many years, Belichick never calls a player back. But Malcolm was
Special. Malcolm never
Trash 🗑 talk any team or coach. BRADY love playing with Malcolm.
I went to high school and college with him, never give up on his dream.
Nah this dude was a CB1 in the NFL for a good amount of years. That is impressive in of itself even when you take away the Super Bowl winning INT
A bust? Lol he was a number 1 corner after “the play for years” and was good. And he wasn’t even drafted bruh him being is the league was a win
I’m sure he doesn’t mind. Dude is a living legend with one of the greatest plays of all time.
Nah wasn't the greatest play. The Seahawks literally beat themselves Lol
@@ghostlegit who are u to say more people would agree with the dude
@@ghostlegit still a legendary play by butler that will be rememberd, cry about it
@@rockfresh5359 agree with what. Russell Wilson literally threw it straight to him. Not a clutch play at all. Overrated
@@danielbaucom5252 nc state is trash at football. Clemson is ur daddy.
Well since his career is over and the truth can't hurt his career I will finally speak on this. I am coach Sharpe and was the only coach in the entire school that was willing to let him play football. Your story is wrong from the start. Malcolm was kicked off track team in 9th grade for fighting and the basketball coach parted ways with him soon after. He walked around the high school not playing any sports for 3 years until I came to Vicksburg and put my job on the line if they would let him play. They told me no in 4 different meetings because of Butler character. They assigned me to him and I had a system in place that when he got in trouble the teachers would call me instead of the other coaches because they were looking for a reason to dismiss him again. I was very hard on him because he needed it I would pull his axx out of class if he acted up and make him so do push ups for hours. I was only thing keeping him from falling through cracks. My part in story was wiped away and I never was invited to the parade, any games, and couldn't even get this man to send a signed jersey for kids I mentored. I gave him my last 20 dollars several times so he could eat. When he made the NFL he showed zero gratitude for my sacrifice so needless to say I don't have any intention of talking to him again. Without Coach Sharpe Malcolm Butler story would have died his 9th grade year. He could have been a hall of famer if he only had character and self discipline. I worry how the rest of his life will shape up without football, I pray he keeps it on the rails.
Honest question, why “finally” speak on this in the comments of a low view RUclips video, where no one will believe you, with no way to verify your story?
@@bobsherman904 the truth doesn't have to be verified ask Malcolm Butler if I'm lying.
@@bobsherman904 I was just correcting the story I wasn't gonna do it while he played. Ask Malcolm if my story a lie coach Sharpe Vicksburg High 07 to 11
@@cashsharpe3129 nah I think there’s a good chance ur telling the truth, just a random place to hear it. Of all the Malcolm docs and online conversation you picked an old 5k view video to finally tell your story? Respect for not trying to blow up his spot though
I don't follow him or his stories that story came up on my u tube page. It's not a smear campaign it's just me putting MY truth out there I'm done talking about it have a great day
You said he joined the New England patriots camp like he just walked in? How did he get invited? An agent? Or?????
Great video. He had skills. What about Eric McMillan? Great first two years with New York Jets. Then not so great after that.
injuries thats why
the fact that I attended hinds community college and had no idea he played there or was from Vicksburg. that's crazy
Once they started practicing with deflated footballs it was over..
Ucf video 🤫
Harold Perkins?
If he didn’t wanna be with the cards why sign wit them
Anthony Morelli.
Well definitely not trying to take Eli Apple 💀
I like to see you do a video on the Richard Dent or Dan Hampton or Neal Anderson
Who?
@@charlesbolton6736 They are all old Chicago Bears players (80s and 90s)
Kenny bell
He had a big moment like Larry brown but wasn’t that good
He is boo-boo water now ha Seahawks up rn💙💚
That man ripped away a Super Bowl and a future dynasty with one interception. Cope more.
@@prestigeshogun1534 where is he and the guy that threw that? Gone😂 he got a lucky uncalled pick and left
@@Messup7654 He’s getting older, not everybody has a long career like Brady. And Russ was freed from that disastrous organization known as the Seattle Seahawks. You lost a Super Bowl. Bottom line.
@@prestigeshogun1534 your team didn’t have close the legacy Seattle did nor the super bowls
@@Messup7654 My team has the same amount of Super Bowls as Seattle lol. You can’t bash other teams legacies when majority of the league has been more successful than you.
Listen, it's not automatic that the Seahawks would have scored running the football. Don't forget, they ran the ball on 1st down and got stopped. The Patriots would have been ready for the run, let's be real.
Lmfao let’s be real it’s marshawn lynch and they have 3 plays on the 1 yard line
A walk on who never got an overvalued contract. His last pro career was his best. 2020 -you said ups and downs? He had the BEST year of his career. 105 tacks, 5 ints. What made you make these vague statements? It doesn't seem like you looked at the numbers... and the last question "was he a bust" even asking that of a walk on seems bizarre.
Matt Patricia is the worst
