Well, at that time, the finished product we all now know as Nigella had not been crafted to their idea of perfection. 'Nigella Lawson' is as much a creation as, say, Alan Partridge. Both have evolved enormously over time.
She still looks good today, if not sexier. Not that I was watching her 23 years ago, I wasn't born. Very artificial character though. I can just feel she got there through connections and nothing more. Nothing organic. Though that's how things work I guess. Not particularly good at cooking (it's kind of funny, though this helps her feel more authentic as nothing else is helping). Enjoyable enough to watch though, more so than most people who are technically better. Cooking media is pretty dull and useless on the whole though, but it can be cosy.
I remember seeing a documentary about Nigella and her terminally ill first husband. Must have been around the same time this was filmed. Her husband was quite ill, and passed away not that long after the documentary was filmed. What stuck in my mind was just how unpleasant she was, how horrible she was to him, even though he didn't have long left. I've never forgotten it, and I always think of that documentary whenever I see her on TV. Not, it seemed to me, a nice person.
She is gorgeous. ❤
Yes I'm gorgeous
