    What is rib ?
Ribs are a feature in plastic injection molded parts. They are thin extensions that run perpendicular from a wall or plane. They are commonly used to provide additional support and strength to a part. Thickness and location are essential to rib design.
    1. Profile Rib
A profile rib feature is a thin fin or web protrusion that attaches to solid surfaces in a part.
Profile ribs are usually designed to strengthen parts, and to prevent unwanted bending. They are often used between two perpendicular surfaces.
    2.Trajectory Ribs
Trajectory ribs are most often used to strengthen plastic parts that include a base and a shell or other hollow area between pocket surfaces. The pocket surface and base must consist of solid geometry.
