Nice video. Love how you give a detailed methodical description of the cleaning process for the throttle body. Did you take a look at the back of your intake valves whilst you had the intake manifold off? Often carbon deposits are worse at the intake valves since the carbon sticks to the metal surface of the intake valves.
Hi Sir, do you have any videos showing on how to fix a problem, strong vacuum from the engine oil cap when you open it? I change the valve cover couple times already the problem still the same, and showing code P1497 downstream leak. Thank you so much in advance.
I have a ? When did this I have coolant ugg I think it’s a clip I don’t have a leak yet that I can find it’s not under the car 🤞yet I see it I wiped out / off no fault code ?
Hi. I encountered a problem in my Cooper today for the first time. Engine missing, stumbling and a loss of power and then the engine light came on (yellow and half) and it said there was a problem with the emission and it went into limp mode. This was in my neighbourhood so I limped home. I had it checked with the OBD 2 scanner and BimmerLink tool and it returned faults with the injectors. We scanned it again with the Carly Scan tool and it said the same thing. And then, surprisingly, once the scanner was unplugged, all the check engine lights and all the error codes vanished. We DID NOT erase them manually. Then I re started the car and revved it and it didn’t miss a beat and nor did the engine check lights and error messages flash again. I switched off and let it be for a half hour and then went back again and re started it. Again while revving it it didn’t miss a beat and nor did any of the check engine lights and messages come on again. What could this gremlin be?
I have the Foxwell 510 Elite. I am trying to find out if my throttle body is shot from these codes. 2B1E 2B31 2B32 2B43 Cranks but no start at all. I smell fuel but I feel oil got inside the throttle body! Causing these codes and faults!

Thanks for the clear, concise how to’s! Your vids make working on my mini a little less painful 😁
Thank you! 🙏
Man you make it look so easy but I love your videos I have the same Cas 09 mini cooper s
Thanks as always!
Awesome 👏 thank you
Great👍 would you do a video on how to carbon clean the valve! And how to clean the turbo on r56 🙏
I did it thank you !
Would any engine codes or limp mode be associated with a dirty throttlebody?

Thank you 🙏 my valves are pretty cleans since i have a catch can and methanol injection
@@ProjectMini loving the "methanol injection" part 💪🙂
Great video need one on installing new fuel injectors in Cooper s
Thank you! When i get to the point that i need bigger injectors I’ll do a video for sure 💪
I Second that one on the fuel injectors

Does the TPS usually go bad before the actual throttle body? (High miles on car)
An oil catch can would help on keeping the throttle body clean

A cool gremlin for sure 😆
Probably a cheap y scan tool causing interpolation errors with the OBD system. Try a different tool next time.
I'm just trying to figure out how to get my torque wrench on that clamp screw lol
Great video but could you please wear some safety glasses when spraying chemicals!
👍

It’s been two years, but I’m guessing your DME was bad?
@@lynxstarautomotive208 nope. Timing was off.
Next time show how to remove and replace instead of having the part off please other than that it was good
I have a video on how to remove the intake manifold already. I believe its in the description of the video
