it's just a case of expected vs reality tbh, her lower register is good, in fact more developed than most sopranos in korea, but then it's still a bit fluttery and a bit unstable. especially in this case, since it's a live singing. OOT, we could see why she's the definitive diva of korea when we watched another song sung by her. but still I find it too exaggerated to say that her lower register isn't good. her lower register there is fine, it's just the projection that isn't proper caused by said instability. it's normal tbh. nevertheless it's still some of the best performance sung with the original key (whereas Groban's version was transposed down)
As an italian girl, I have to say: their pronunciation is pretty on point! I love So Hyang, she's definitely one of my favourite singer but the guy was amazing too!

Alas, Sohyang has decided to fly under the radar by choice. She has decided she doesn't care about the fame and fortune side of the equation. She prefers her privacy and could not live up to the demands of a recording contract anyway. They demand too many concerts and far too much travel for Sohyang to survive the ordeal, given her chronic health problems with pneumonia. So the greatest female vocalist of our age must be found by luck or blessing or by recommendation. We are in the blessed category I think. So give genuine thanks to God and enjoy this wonderful gift of Sohyang and her music. There is none better! 👌💘😉😎
It is hard to imagine Sohyang made a mistake. She simply doesn't do that and works very hard practicing before doing a concert. And she can hold a note for 14 seconds or longer if she chooses. Her breath control is world famous. If there was a mistake, and I don't think there is, it was by the gentleman singing with her. I thought they finished the song just fine. 👌💘
