This commercial has touched my heart in a way which makes me want to become a loyal customer. Under Armour definitely chose the perfect spokesperson by picking Misty Copeland. Her story is truly inspiring and shows how people should not just give up on their dreams because someone said they do not have what it takes to make it all the way. The first time I saw this video it captured my attention from the start. The creative use of the music tones and lights as well as the voice over of the girl telling her story while Misty danced beautifully throughout the video, was all genius! This video is not just a commercial to sell products for people, its inspiration and a lesson that hard work, dedication and blocking out the negativity of others, can increase the likelihood of success. I showed this commercial to my children the first time I saw it, I explained what was going on and I believe it provided a valuable lesson for them. Thank you for this campaign! #IWillWhatIWant
👏👏👏👏👏F'IN BRAVO!!! CAN'T BELIEVE THIS ONLY HAS SO MANY VIEWS. OH WELL ITS AN HONEST REPRESENTATION THAT WE ONLY HAVE SO MANY REAL ONES OUT HERE #YOUCANTSITWITHUS #CHAMPSONLY #UNDERAMOUR 💯💯💯💯
I love that they chose a ballet dancer over a more predictable type of athlete. Ballet is as demanding as any sport, if not more, and dancers’ athleticism should be appreciated by the public even if they may not like ballet as an art form.
I just wrote the following on another of these videos. At the time, I had not yet seen one of these with an African American female, so that part gets invalidated. All the other parts of the remark still stand, though: This is the third "I Will What I Want," commercial I have sen on YT. I didn't even know about these until reading MKGT 10 by Lamb. (Marketing book, schooling.) It said, "Under Armour's 'I Will What I Want' ad also fared well for its portrayal of women pushing back against the idea of perfection and simply embracing themselves" (Lamb et al., 2017, p.107) Look at all those gorgeous women. I think what the author MEANT to say was that it featured beautiful, successful, athletic, gorgeous, white women getting what they want. >_>
Learned this at school and they made it seem like Under Armour tried to diss her cuz the article we read said the announcer said she didn't have the right ballet body
0:03 While Suited In Her Purple Colored Under Armor Underwear, She Raises Her Hard Breathing Exercising Body. 0:14 She Holds Her Body In A Straight Line.
She is absolutely stunning! Her lines, her movements, her talent... As a former dancer, I can't get enough of her videos, she is FANTASTIC!!!
Absolutely beautiful.
