Join us on the next leg of our incredible journey as we leave the mesmerizing landscapes of Leh Ladakh behind and embark on an exciting budget travel adventure to Manali. Our travel savvy move was booking HRTC bus tickets online for just 655 Rs. per person, ensuring a pocket-friendly commute covering almost 430 kilometers.
The adventure begins in the early hours, waking up at 2:30 am to catch the 3:30 am bus bound for Keylong. A strategic bus change in Keylong becomes essential as there is no direct transport from Leh to Manali. The highlight of our journey is the awe-inspiring Atal Tunnel, a famous high pass in Himachal Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in our expedition.
After a lengthy but scenic 17-18 hour journey, we finally arrive in the charming town of Manali at 8 pm. Opting for convenience, we book a hotel on Mall Road, the heart of the town, offering easy access to the bus stand and providing the perfect base for our Manali exploration.
Mall Road proves to be an ideal choice for accommodation, offering not only proximity to essential amenities but also a vibrant atmosphere for shopping and exploration. Our two-day stay promises a perfect blend of adventure and leisure, with one day dedicated to relaxation and exploration.
On our leisure day, we take in the local culture by visiting the Hadimba Temple, capturing the beauty through our lens and immersing ourselves in the rich heritage. The day unfolds with delightful moments of shopping, where we discover unique treasures and indulge in the vibrant street food scene that Manali has to offer.
