That Larval mage is an Elder Abomination they came out in Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes they serve the Elder Evils. He who watches beyond darkness, the world born dead, and the hungering red Star. This doesn't bode well.

Love your game play I've played it myself and I've I won't spoil it but it did glitch on me at one point and didn't give me a item because I didn't have hot bar space but if that happens to you just go to the settings in the menu and sync your inventory
