don't need log table,if u can remember log3,log5 log7 mainly and some formulas like log a^b= b log a and log ab= log a + logb etc,u can find any log probably..Csir will not give questions which involve more difficult calculations...for suppose if u want log9, write as log3^2= 2log3,u can calculate like this, don't need to know direct value of log9....here upon calculation u can get 10^3= mv^-1/2, take log both the sides and apply log a^b formula,u can get 3log 10=-1/2 log MV...log10 is 1,so on calculation u will get 6= log MV...take anti log here,u will get MV =10^6.
