      YES. The main issue there is fields almost immediately is running around trying to make a crazy play. It’ sucks that he has no time with that trash offensive line to make the easy throws. With those two on the outside and the rb trio they have. Offensively they will be solid this year

      That's a great option. The only problem with your suggestion is, you would have to give Fields a max contract in the next year or so. If you draft Caleb, you won't have to worry about that until 5 years from now which would allow you to be more aggressive in Free Agency during that time period.

He can’t adjust to the speed of nfl. Then sitting out was very petty cause he wasn’t starting. No one will try him as a starter. Tomlin needs to go he only cares about finishing above .500, not a Super Bowl coach.

      Do you want a passing quarterback or do you want a running quarterback? Lamar Jackson is a fine example with a killer defense it took Lamar 6 years to start being able to learn when and were to throw the ball. Justin is heading in the same direction as Jackson. I watched alot of tape on Williams and Maye. Just remember this post and I guarantee Maye will be a franchise quarterback in the NFL you guys will see. When you are a pure pocket passer you have a quick release and you can number 1 split the secondary and put the ball damn near every ball in stride that’s a pure pocket passer and that’s what Drake Maye will bring. Long time Bears fan here. I was born in Northern Illinois was 8 years old when the Chicago Bears won the Superbowl in '85. So I've been looking at the NFL and the organization for some time.
    I'm Justin or Caleb depending on the day I wake up. I'm 70% Justin like the rest if the world (yes the votes are in).
    The money part of this is waaay better with Caleb and getting a rookie contract at the position.
    Talent. I think Caleb is a better "college QB then Justin "was" but not better than Justin "right now." I don't like projecting the "ceiling" of these guys because it doesn't pan out that way. The Bears have bigger problems with the o-line and WR positions. It doesnt matter who the QB is, neither one will take the Bears deep into the playoffs without at least those two areas getting out of the top 25 and into the top 15 at minimum.
    I disagree with Keshawn on Caleb not being the #1 QB. That offense averaged 40+ pts a game. His pocket passing is like Drew Brees and his ability to extend plays with his legs and make big plays reminds us of Mahomes.
    I also dont agree with Keshawn to draft MHJ with the first pick. At least make a deal with Washington. Target Terry McLaurin trade picks and try for next years first or second whatever etc. I know thats unlikely so get MHJ with the 2nd and an offensive lineman with the 9th.
    I agree with Skip on whether or not Caleb wants to play in Chicago. If I was Caleb I wouldn't. I dont think the Bears management would would even begin to force that. Caleb basically needs to be fully convinced and say "I would loooove to be a Chicago Bear!!!" That's not the vibe we're getting though is it? This is basically coming down to Calebs decision.
    I think Justin is better for the Bears. Poles though is the GM. We already passed on Mahomes, Watson, Young, Stroud and then to pass on Caleb(if he agrees to be a Bear), Daniels and Maye could be bad situation for the Kevin Warren and Ryan Poles. Especially, if Justin struggles this year and any 3 of those QBs resemble anything close to Cj Stroud.
    Honestly, I don't foresee Justin struggling with enhanced WR and O-line depth.
    We love Justin in Chicago the votes are in. At the same time business is business. Caleb Williams just has to say it when Poles finally asks him. "I would looove to be a Chicago Bear!!!"
    Maye and Daniels? Not with the first pick. Daniels and Nabers sounds good but I think we can do better with Fields and MHJ.

    • @robertbutlerjr1746
      @robertbutlerjr1746 7 месяцев назад +1

    • @kelsowilz2522
      @kelsowilz2522 7 месяцев назад

      @@robertbutlerjr1746 Easy. Ohio St. had one of the best teams all around in the Nation. Justin had all day to throw the ball. Did Justin win the Heisman? No.
      Caleb did not have a great o-line or defense. Both weren't even ranked in the top 100! Did Caleb win the Heisman? Yes. I've sat down with others and we watched Caleb highlights. We agreed that there are plays that Caleb makes passing the ball that Justin doesn't make. We agreed that Caleb's arm wind-up and arm throw speed is waaaaay faster than Justin's. Caleb is more accurate with football placement for WR's to make easier catches. He is also excellent at extending plays with his legs and has escape vision to make big throwing plays. Caleb is also better in the 4th quarter. He can process getting the ball out faster and trusts his receivers. The only thing Justin has on Caleb (which is very important to have also) is superior athleticism and great leadership and organization rapport. There are plays that Justin makes when he takes off that is really rare at the position and Caleb can't copy. Justin's mentality is tough. I like it. I like Justin better for Chicago. But I'm not going to downplay or exaggerate the film for either QB. It is what we see

The numbers DJ put up with Justin was a career year, another receiver with talent on the opposite side, and would have a monster year. You are bringing in a rookie with a lame duck coach ( no playoffs, Eberflus will be fired), so will this new staff & this cycle of Bears misery start all over again. Yes, this is year 4. Give JF1 a real opportunity to succeed. Take the best haul for the #1 pick. Caleb Williams is meant to be elsewhere, not Chicago.

The only thing is important is how they’re performing in 3 years. Lastly, top end WRs don’t win Super Bowls, QBs do. The only WRs in the top 30 last year that have won a Super Bowl were tied to top end QBs. So yea, it’s STUPID to take a WR No. 1. At minimum you trade down to 2 or 3 and take the WR. Anyone who takes a WR 1 in a year like this should just be fired. That’s why the Vegas odds have Caleb going No. 1 by an overwhelming amount.
