It's all fun and games until the playoffs arrive and Embiid is once again injured.

Thats the problem. I watched him when he came back from injury last year, he looked possibly over 350 pounds. He has to be in elite level shape or he is bound to get hurt again. He cant play at a shaq level size and weight. He has to slim down like a tim duncan if hes going to last another 5-10 years

PG is an inefficient iso scorer and needs a proper system to maximize his potential, but the Clippers just wants to kiss Ty Lue's butt. Lue's max extension was the final nail in the coffin for them.
This clown of an FO just essentially traded PG for Harden! PG is in a much better place now playing for Nick Nurse, while the Clippers' championship window is now completely closed. There's no coming back for them.

They wanted to sign PG to the same deal they signed with Kawhi. PG wanted more & got it from Philly. It's possible they wouldn't have brought Harden back if PG resigned, but they shouldn't have traded for Harden either so...

@@atlien1988 Although Kawhi is a much better player, his injuries are a big concern so the Clippers' shouldn't compare his contract to PG. And if you listened to PG's podcast, his biggest issue is with the team not playing winning basketball (relying on isos) making him look bad in a compromised role.
PG would've certainly taken a hometown discount if they are winning and he is happy with his role. But the morons running the FO doubled down on Ty Lue. If I were in PG's place, I certainly wouldn't take less than the max either to continue putting up with all the BS.

Philly needed a #1 or 1A type player. I don't think this moves the needle.
