Guys, I'm literally brewing alcohol using jugs of juice from Walmart these days thanks to RUclips. If Foghorn has a drinking problem, I'm more than happy to let him try my sauce from time to time as well. :P
I love how they are using John Deere ether to start that binder
Jd ether has the most ether content compared to other brands
Love these up & close vids ! 👍👍🇺🇸
Glad you like them!
Would it not be any help to have a block heater on these? It seems to me if it had a block heater and a oil pan heater they would be much more ready to start.
It was 98 degrees
@@badgear I was not implying that the engine was weather cold, only that the use of a oil pan and block heater would seem to help the cold engine starting even in the summertime much easier. That being said, I have had no experience working around these High Performance Low Compression Diesel Engines. So I could be talking out of turn.
@@cavemanballistics6338 You are correct, a block heater would help, since these are very low compression, they barely run when cold. They have to start them on ether and then add diesel fuel once there's a little heat in the block & head.
@@jacebigelow these things sit with heaters all over the block and head, and oil heaters, this is still how hard they start.

Damn he was getting ready to go pull with motor stone cold?....
They don’t run coolant in most pulling vehicles
Some people should just stay in their parent's basement and continue to play video games. They know nothing about what they are commenting on.
Oh you have no idea.
Shouldn't need a lot ether to start. Poor design.
You don't understand tractor pulling & getting 5000 horsepower out of 580 cubic inches. Stay tuned.
They lower the static compression on these motors, so they can put more boost to them. Thus they start hard when cold, because there is little heat generated by compression.
these are very, *very* low compression engines, they need a lot of juice to start and often need a lot of time to warm up in the colder months during events like NFMS and Gordyville
Yeah, these guys bring cases of ether to get going. No compression without (up to) 4 turbos spinning
Its not a poor design. Its a ultra low compression diesel. You heat the cylinders with either so it will burn the diesel fuel cause there cold and
