Considering most players of SS13 are running PC the equivalent of a pancake, running the AI on the player client instead of a hosted service like this round would be impossible.
That’s pretty cool, I’ve always had trouble keeping up with reading everything, making it hard to play the game for me. This would make interactions much easier to follow!
Really hope an AI like Dall-e Mini can be repurposed for this to save on costs. It'd be hilarious to have implemented properly with emotions selectable.
Hi. I work with AI a bit. Reducing the AI model is something that happens all the time. This is when you want to put it onto IoT / electronics that have very little memory/disk space like smart glasses . It will be very efficient but there will be quality reduction .

Dall E Mini? Maybe not. Dall E proper? It's already being done. Dall E Mini is only public because its a little deranged. Dall E Proper is not public and is actually quite confidential because of how photorealistic it has become. Training such an algorithm for speech would be childs play at this point. Whether it would be machine efficient however... Can't really say.
@@amergingiles Hence the Dall-e mini. It's not resource intensive. The reason this isn't able to be done normally is due to the high server costs of running speech algorithms. If reduced, it'd be quite fun to imagine.

the TTS has moments where it just sounds right... or just cursed. only if it was an affordable feature. Hey, if one of us offered a kidney, testicle or lung, we could get this one day.
