I always come back to this video, it’s the only one that I could actually understand and it’s the perfect amount of timing and explanation. THANK YOU!!
Do you have any videos on a hexi cardigan? I looked and couldn’t find it if you did! I’ve wanted to make one of those and I’d love to follow yours if you had one!
HONESTLY I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH !!! I HAVE BEEN CROCHETING SINCE 2020 AND I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO MAKE A GRANNY SQUARE… UNTIL THIS VIDEO❤ I LOVE YOU SO MUCH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUUUUUUUU
This is the simplest easiest granny square pattern, every pattern I tried till this one I ended up with to many stitches. This worked immediately. Thank you
OMG I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!! lol! Been trying since yesterday when i had a few minutes free here and there to figure out how to do this....your video? FINALLY!!! your a very good teacher my dear! I think ive watched about 13 videos on how to make a granny square, yarn and hook in had, POV youtube videos and was having NO LUCK! thank you so much! !!!
Thank you I did not know how to make a giant afghan. It is so easy explained. I love it. My daughter wanted me to maker her one so now I learned very easy explained. Blessings
hi i know i’m like a year late but i also want to do this granny square without changing the yarn every round and i’m not really sure how to, so i was wondering if you knew like a tutorial or if you had any tips? i happen to have ombré yarn too 😊
thank you, i have been trying to wrap my head around this pattern for a few days, now i finally get how it works, although i had to slow the play speed down to 1/4 lol, hopefully my skills will improve now i know how to make this the correct way.
Sorry to bother you. If you could please, explain what you mean by "turning for each row". I'm planning on making this blanket for a friend but I'm just an intermediate beginner. Any tips will be a huge help and greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I was a pro at crotcheting but haven't done so in over 10 years so I will start from the beginning any suggestions on BEST places ONLINE to buy crotchet yarn?
Hello! Quick question, how did you join your new color to the corner? Was it through the colorchange method where for the last step of the previous single crochet you yarn over with the new color?
This so Nice. I watched abs I see you dint turn. It’s said turning dots the twisting and wonky shape. Thank you so very much. I’m goi g to keep looking. Love your tutorials By the way. I just can’t with that wonky shape. And I am in search of the fix. Blessings !
I did it all in one color, and instead of cutting and attaching, I just placed another slip stitch into the corner space after closing the row with the slip stitch shown in the video :)
You can go into the settings/options and change the speed of playing. Tap extreme upper right corner, and you see some options. Click the three vertical dots. You’ll see “Playback Speed”. Choose .75 or .50. The point 75 one usually keeps the words understandable, and slows down video enough to catch what you need to focus on.
i have seen videos where you turn and work on opposite side , so stops the blanket from getting misshapen. Do you think that is necessary. I have just started making the blanket and I am turning back and forth. I'm interest in your opinion. Thanks for a great video
I do this with my square blankets/motifs. I prefer the look of a straighter square. My bonus monthly video in September is actually going to be about this! I definitely think it helps! 😄💖
There's many ways you could do this. I have a playlist featuring some different yarn joining techniques here: ruclips.net/p/PLXwG-nU-M9LqQFVbTod6_uW-6yOHS8KP-
Thanks for watching! Depends on what yarn you use. I typically use medium weight yarn for my blankets. Then I'll used a 5.0 or 5.5 crochet hook with that yarn. Hope this helps! 😃💗
It depends! I give myself 4 weeks~ to make custom blankets, just in case I have to order yarn, etc. But if I work on just that project, about a week ore two. 😊😍💝
I would still follow the steps with the same color, if eliminates seams within your blanket. But if you want to continue without cutting, you'd just SL ST to finish the current row. Then make CHs with the same color to start the next row. Hope this helps! 💕🫶

I buy from Joanns online and Michaels. They have deals and coupons all the time! 😃💝
Hello! Quick question, how did you join your new color to the corner? Was it through the colorchange method where for the last step of the previous single crochet you yarn over with the new color?
Use a Slip Knot to attach it: ruclips.net/video/oS1H7ckM2CA/видео.html 😃
Thank you so much for this!!
💝💝💝
How do you change the color? Also what do you do with the previous color?
I tend to change colors at the beginning of my rows. I have a tutorial on how to change colors if that helps! 💕

How many skeins would I need to make a king sized blanket?
Definitely depends on how many colors you would use
If I’m not changing colour do I still need to cut and attach the same yarn to the corner?
No
I did it all in one color, and instead of cutting and attaching, I just placed another slip stitch into the corner space after closing the row with the slip stitch shown in the video :)
Is there a supply list suggestion amount? So that we can guess how many skeins for how many rounds?
I don't keep track when making blankets. But it would depend on how many colors you'd want to use for yours
What do you do if you just want to use one colour for the whole thing do you still cut it of and move to one hole space?
Yes, I tend to cut the yarn. The follow the same pattern, starting at a new open space. It keeps the square straight. Hope this helps! 😊🫶
Thank you!!
This is excellent 👌 and thank you for sharing this tutorial. It would be good to go slow a bit.

Thank you so much for your tutorial. How much yarn do you use for an adult blanket ? Thank you so much !
I don't know how much yarn but I tend to make my blankets in a throw size. I stick around 55X55 inches for squares blankets. I hope this helps! 😃💕
If you are doing a Giant Crochet Blanket in one color, how do you add a ball of yarn when your color runs out? Love this video, by the way!

Just seen your video. What size crochet hook do you recommend
Thanks for watching! Depends on what yarn you use. I typically use medium weight yarn for my blankets. Then I'll used a 5.0 or 5.5 crochet hook with that yarn. Hope this helps! 😃💗

How long does a blanket like this take you? It’s very beautiful by the way! ❤
It depends! I give myself 4 weeks~ to make custom blankets, just in case I have to order yarn, etc. But if I work on just that project, about a week ore two. 😊😍💝

how much yarn do i need if i want to use 3 colours? i want to do 2 rows in each colour (2 white rows, 2 green, 2 darker green)
I didn't measure my blanket. I tend to buy yarn, throw it in my stash and use it whenever. Sorry! 🤗😅
Hi! I was just wondering if I could start with a magic ring instead of the chain? xx
Yes you can! 😃👏
Do you flip the afghan as you go?
Yes, I do. I learned that trick after I made this video. 😂💗
Does the square start twisting going wonky after say 10 rounds. Because I just can’t with that. Thanks.
Flip your square every row to keep it straight. Thanks for watching! 💕🤗
Do you roughly remember how many balls of yarn you used. I want to do this while on vacation but don’t want to run out of yarn!!
I don't know how much yarn I used on this one. When I buy yarn I just throw it into my stash and use later. Sorry! 💕
very nice I love Afghanistan
Thanks! 💗
Hi Crochet Me Lovely i want to make theseee, um thank you ill be making one for table decorations or a tote bag.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy! 💗💖💗
@@crochetmelovely ;D
Could I make this with Bernat Blanket yarn?
Yes! You would just have to use the right hook with that yarn. 👏🤗
How do you attach the new color to the corner??
Using a Slip Knot: ruclips.net/video/oS1H7ckM2CA/видео.html - Hope this helps! 😊🫶
If I don’t want to change colors, how do I connect to corner after second round?
You can replace any DC with a CH 3. Hope this helps! ☺️💞
Do you have an idea of how much yarn you used? I’m trying to gauge how many skeins I need.
I don't know exactly. I use my yarn stash for most of my projects. This blanket usually measures around 60 in. X 60 in. if that helps! 💖👏🙌
@@crochetmelovely Thank you 😊
Hi, what are the measurements for the completed blanket ?
Hi, I typically make my blankets through sizes. So either 50X50 inches or 60X60 depending on what I'm feeling. Hope this helps! 🙂💓
Who was going to tell me granny squares are this easy?? I was always hesitant to try it because it looked so difficult
It's a great starter blanket! 🤗💓
How many balls of yarns for this blanket you used
I didn't keep track, sorry! 😅 I ended up with a throw sized blanket if that helps!
How many yards of yarn did you use?
I don't track how much yarn. I put yarn in my stash and use it from there. Sorry! 💗
What size hook did you use? x
5.5 or 'I' Hook. Thanks for watching! Hope this helps! 🤗💗
Do you turn work ?
YEs, turn your work every row. Your square will stay straight. I have a video coming on this technique soon! 😃💕
How many yarn does it need?
I don't know how much yarn I used on this one. When I buy yarn I just throw it into my stash and use later. Sorry! 💕
Do you turn your granny square when starting a new row?
I've started doing that recently and I think it keeps the square straighter than normal! 😃💗
@@crochetmelovely thank you ! I have seen others turn their work .
What if I’m not changing colours, do you have a tutorial on how to keep going? I’m cutting at each row and it’s wasting the same colour yarn?
If you stay with the same color, CH 4, skip 3 STs, make 3 DC into the next space, continue with the pattern. I hope this helps!
Thank you!
How do you change color???
ruclips.net/video/BUaTGacJwS8/видео.html 🎉🙌
How do you start row two if you dont want to change colour? I cant find a tutorial for that :(
Follow the same steps with the new colors. Hope this tutorial helps: ruclips.net/video/1BaN8IwkT3Y/видео.html 💕
I saw on your website that you switch sides or something every other row to keep blanket even. Not sure what you mean by that.
Flip your square on each row. So you'll start looking at the front, then the back, then the front, etc. Hope this helps! 😃
How do I start the second and third row if I want to keep my same Color?
You would CH 4, Skip the 3 DC, make 3 DC into the next open space, continue from there. Hope this helps! 🤩💕
how many grams of yarn did u use?
I don't track how much yarn. I put yarn in my stash and use it from there. Sorry! 💗

Why did you skip the step for changing color ?
I already have a video tutorial on my channel for how to change colors! Hope that helps! 😃
Whats is afghan?
An afghan is a blanket or shawl, usually knitted or crocheted. It is sometimes also called a "throw" of indeterminate size. 😊
Crochet slower. It's hard to follow!
You can turn down the speed in the video settings. Hope this helps! 👏🤗
Can you use caron cakes for this project
I'm sure you can! Thanks for watching! 😊💖
