This only reinforces the main point of collecting. Collect what you like and enjoy, and don’t chase the “hot” book. You’ll never be disappointed with the resale value should you ever decide to sell.

Great video. I always enjoy the comic index. I would love to see the trending graph at 8:07 vs inflation, luxury goods and S&P, but that’s a level of detail that’d likely bore a lot of people.
If comic books as an investment hold any correlation to the stock market, the stock market typically does well in the latter half of an election year; I wonder if the trend line for 2024 doesn't look more similar to that of 2020, with a slight uptick in the last 4 months or so.
How about sales that are not reported, like on IG.or whatnot? I’ve seen many times comics sell for much lower than on any other platform. I like this for a basic Birds Eye view of the market but once you dive into other buying opportunities things get wonky.

This is why I only collect complete series and don’t buy unnecessary keys

The handouts from COVID weren’t nearly enough to get true key comics - people need to quit that faulty logic.

there is a lack of collectors now, supply outpaces demand more than ever. More collections through the door every day, sans most keys is the norm.
Comics will continue to drop in value as nostalgia for the product drops, which continues to happen.

Comic book index hahahaha seriously if some think comics are like stocks that makes me laugh….
I fail to see the joke. Like stocks, values of comics can go up or down depending on the demand in the marketplace.
