There aren't even roads to many places anymore. Literally getting supplies to folks via mules, horses, atvs, and helicopters. I'm in northern SC with friends in Asheville and other mountain towns and it's insane. These roads weren't super easy to drive before, now that they are gone it's back to the 1800s in some places. Like our power lines in my part of the state are on mountains and to get to them is nothing short of herculean.
This is made even worse by the GOP refusing to call Congress back to DC and actually fund FEMA. No, project 2025 wants to get rid of FEMA and it shows. Trump as a long history of refusing to give aid. No, if you forgot, he forced states to compete against each other during COVID and refused to give aid to dem states and Puerto Rico when they were hit by a cat 5 hurricane.

Ive seen the vids and interviews of citizens on the ground. They say we have neighbors, citizens from other states from contractors of companies clearing mud from our towns streets. We have not seen FEMA. We have seen 6 national guard when they came to town. FEMA was either really late or hadn’t showed up yet. Horseback was not FEMA. I believe the people. I believe FEMA will be working long term in these areas. I have family in N.C.. FEMA is not there. FEMA is not there with chainsaws cutting trees off of roads. I have family a daughter and a mother whose mother is a first cousin. The daughter now has electricity but the mother does not. But she can not reach her mother 30 mins. away to get her to her house. That was of yesterday.

How is it misinformation when the people effected by the flood have stated how the government isn't doing much to help them? There is tons of footage of volunteers helping but I barely see any first responders, fema, the Nat G, and military troops helping out in the footage.
They are posting comments on social media too. I am in a Facebook group that tries to help people in Swannanoa NC. Three times now I have posted something about FEMA and the government help that people can get, and just general info and somebody came on and tried to say that what I was saying isn't true. They kept insisting. But some other people came on and shut the guy up and said that he was probably Russian or Chinese and to not come on the page to make trouble. Then they blocked him. I wish that more pages would patrol their pages like that so that people wouldn't see this garbage.

What a liar. It has to be demoralizing to first responders. I know, I was a first responder during flood times. Had our community done what some are doing today it would have been hard to do my job--especially when you put your own life on the line. I just had two people yesterday spew these lies. I sent them the information on what was really going on. One woman was certain the disaster response had been turned back over to the Governor and there were no FEMA or National Guard troops in the ground. I sent her i formation and after 2 days she finally said thank you. But I seriously doubt she believed me.

More than 6,100 Guardsmen, hundreds of high-water vehicles, and dozens of helicopters and rescue boats from 18 different states have also been placed on active duty status. Ryder said these Guardsmen have been leading the response effort across the impacted region.

Ive seen the vids and interviews of citizens on the ground. They say we have neighbors, citizens from other states from contractors of companies clearing mud from our towns streets. We have not seen FEMA. We have seen 6 national guard when they came to town. FEMA was either really late or hadn’t showed up yet. Horseback was not FEMA. I believe the people. I believe FEMA will be working long term in these areas. I have family in N.C.. FEMA is not there. FEMA is not there with chainsaws cutting trees off of roads. I have family a daughter and a mother whose mother is a first cousin. The daughter now has electricity but the mother does not. But she can not reach her mother 30 mins. away to get her to her house. That was of yesterday.

How is it misinformation when the people effected by the flood have stated how the government isn't doing much to help them?
There is tons of footage of volunteers helping but I barely see any first responders, fema, the Nat G, and military troops helping out in the footage.
I saw that a man wanted to put someone up in a hotel, but it was full of federal officials.
They are posting comments on social media too. I am in a Facebook group that tries to help people in Swannanoa NC. Three times now I have posted something about FEMA and the government help that people can get, and just general info and somebody came on and tried to say that what I was saying isn't true. They kept insisting. But some other people came on and shut the guy up and said that he was probably Russian or Chinese and to not come on the page to make trouble. Then they blocked him. I wish that more pages would patrol their pages like that so that people wouldn't see this garbage.
