Fr, he usually doesn’t do this but I feel like during taho second round he was drawing attention to himself (hat kicked up) to undermine Tahos second round. I think that’s why taho pulled up on his shoe because he caught on to paradox’s subtle play

Remember when it was breakdancing? Nowadays its like contemporary dance on a hip hop beat. Dont get me wrong these dudes are very good at what they do but, wtf is this?
Correct me if im wrong, i remember that in late ‘80s hiphop dance was created because they found breaking couldnt be fitted in many song, and new hiphop dance focus more on groove or just simply vibing in the club=)).
As the dance evolves it kinda look mixed to raise the technique level. But yep i have to agree that i wish it still look raw like back in the day.

First things first hip hop consists of two dances, breaking and party dancing/social dancing now reffered to as Hip Hop Freestyle. 'Breakdance' is not a term we use within our culture and is a commercialized term made up by corporations.
Both are Hip Hop but one was based on getting down in the cyphers during the break of the music the other in social environments dancing together with party dances. One predominantly on the floor the other known for it's conversation but not limited to standing up.
Hip hop freestyle was not created to fix a problem. It was always there in the culture as people always danced together in the clubs. It juat became more dominant in clubs over time because the music that became popular at the time had dances thst everyone could do such as the bart simson or even now a days the smeeze or woah.
Calling Hip Hop Freestyle contemporary is an ignorant statement as it really slanders the meaning and deep histoey amd heratige it carries. It finds its roots in african, latin, jamacain and mainly african american culture with influences that can be found back in tap dance (which u can see in Taho's dance round 1) and dancehall, popping and salsa which u can catch glimpses of in my dance.
Contemporary isa completely differenr ball game and has a complete different foundation to it.
