1:30 Orgin: Femina - Latin word - Meaning The woman. Coin by Charles Fourier - French philosopher in 1837.
1st Wave: 1890-1960
Seneca Fall Convention (1848)
1st wave: Discourse was right to vote and property for females.
2nd wave: 1960-1980s: Ms.America Pagent: 1968 - Stressed upon Black American woman - This wave was very radical. Focus shifted reproductive rights - Abortion, How many children do they want to have? Should be able to go to office.
Third wave: 1990s - 2010 - Rebecca Walker coined the term 3rd wave - Becoming the Third wave Spectrum widens - No discrimination for women based on - Color, ethnicity of women, religion, culture.
