Finally this is noth8ng but double ratio spread which I'm using from past many months. You gave some colorful explanation starting with put spread. In the begining i was totaly confused. This cd hv been explaned much better way. Only show off.

yes 50 - 50 game
Nifty is at 19500. 21000 PE means 1500 points intrinsic value plus 5 months interest cost. take it at 10% which means 19500*10/100/12*5 months = approx 900.
So, 21000 PE should quote 1500 intrinsic plus say, 500 points instead 900. = 2000
going price = 1150 which is at massive discount!!
why there is huge discount at the first place?
either PE sellers are selling blindly or market is super bullish in the medium term. pls watch out.

@@arjunjanawade2207 but futures price wont be filling the gap of 900 points. If so, then one can buy 21000 PE today at discount and sell that futures if contained huge premium.

check the theta to vega ratio. Vega is massive for this strategy. Ratio spread is for high IV environment I guess. IV still low in the market. Many times you are not mentioning the impact of Vega in the strategy. What if IV rises?
Then you are dead :)
Usually it's suggested to have some long positions (long time to expire) in the strategy when IV is low , because it balances the impact in Short positions if IV increases.
you buy calendar hedges in that case in case of vix rises
If the buy put option goes deep itm and becomes illiquid... difficult to exit right?

pls remember the past. During Jan to Mar 22, he was suggesting a plan to sell Dec 2022 18000 straddle - which was quoting 1500 rupees. yes, certainly I also would have done it for the given premium. I don't blame the plan because any FNO deal has its own risk.
And, will you believe Dec 2022 closing was around same 18k level and you would be making 1500 rupees per lot. wow wow. but but but
During the Ukraine war in Jun 2022, Nifty dropped to 15000 level and that straddle would be quoting more than 3000 because you sold 18000 PE. So, you are at huge loss. Ask yourself, how many would have kept the straddle without disturbing it??
Hardly 0.01% would have kept the straddle as it is and that is why 1% make more than half of the FNO profits as per recent SEBI study!!
Yes, PRS is a good teacher but market will test our guts, patience, confidence, whether to react, whether not to react, etc. and hope PRS would also accept it. Appreciate a reply from him!! :)

In July month he was bullish for coming months now nobody is taking about ...he just changed his views to bearish....new people come , lose money ...next month new people comes and they also lose money ...
but sir zerodha is not allowing to sell option in one month advance, like it is september 2023 and in zerodha is not allowing to sell option for the month of october 2023, if there is any solution plz let me know, thanks

If spot is 19500, how come 21000 PE is 1200, it’s intrinsic value is at least 1500. Something is wrong here.

Can reduce the margin requirement tremendously with a cheap out of the money long put. Probably well worth it for margin costs and increased profit % on any drop.
that's why sundar is great... the words you said about options selling is a business, that minute i realized how options sellers are making money with low expectations.

PR Sir brokers like zerodha, kotak sec. etc. don't allow beyond three months expiry contracts. Which broker allow 2024 expiry contracts, pl suggest.

Trading on expiry day is the worst thing you can do. It is just like pure gambling. Ultimately you will loose everything for sure.
