“My grandfather spoke 13 languages, somehow still had nothing to say.. STOP!! Crazy lyrical genius man. His lines hit so hard nothings forced or corny. He’s incredible
This is a bit difficult for me to form an opinion on at the moment. I do really like it, but it is so lyrically complex (like all earl projects) that I feel like I need to go through them on genius to get a full understanding of the project. I also like how calm and understated most of the beats are, makes for a good chill listen and lets the verses sit front and center. Definitely going to revisit this more than the new Cordae
yeah the beats i noticed were much less dense than some rap song, and honestly im loving it a lot. its a great flow and a cohesive poject all the way through
That 5 O’s on me line is actually a TRIPLE entendre. He’s talking about the Oz of weed and the Olympics but also he means like 5-0’s on me like the cops.
this album to me personally felt so intoxacating and woozy, for me it's like a 9/10. the short runtime makes it super easy to get thru and it's insanely cohesive.
I really fucked with this album. For me it gets an amazing rating. It definitely makes you feel intoxicated and isolated with the sounds. The lyricism and delivery was on point as usual and the production was super fire.
@@yungbean3 I think for the best earl experience it’s better to just go in order of his discog but Some Rap Songs is his magnum opus with SICK! competing with IDLSIDGO for second place in my head rn. Haven’t quite decided that yet.
Solid 8.5 or 9, great bars, fantastic production, and really compact and easy to listen to. I’ve already played it like 10 times simply for how much I enjoy listening to it
I think yall should really consider doing first reaction, it grows channels so fast and all yall need right now is that small viral video to make your channel blow , the content is on point , the structure in on point , how you guys articulate yourselves , just an idea tho keep working .
Man, you can hear MF DOOM’s influence on Earl strong in this record. Production is so textured and great too. I feel like this could be a 9/10 in a few listens.
Album was amazing but my expectations were SO HIGH I couldn't help but feel disappointed when I saw the run time, plus a few of those songs felt like interludes! Still love it though felt very similar to SRS but with his new era style of rapping
I haven't made my mind yet for this album other than I love it. I'm either stuck between Great/Amazing or even Perfect as I cannot stop listening to it and honestly if this came out in 2021 it would be in my Top 3. Phenomenal album.
It's probably going to be my top 10 album of this year I don't know it just started I got breathe on it but I just wish you can do like four more songs because this is a fire album
honestly I think this might be a top 3 earl album. Although I wasn’t the biggest fan of SRS, this album is basically almost everything I wanted from an earl album. It has an amazing flow and stays consistent, and it also contains some vintage beats that reminds me of SRS (which was one of the things i liked from the project). I’d give it a 9-9.5/10.
This has been one of my favorite Earl albums since “ I Don’t Like Shit I Don’t Go Outside “. “ Some Rap Songs “ was a great album don’t get me wrong. I just think the production got in the way of his rapping, but the content in that album was absolutely amazing. But this album the production was beautiful, his verses was Al away on point.
React/review to Token's newest album, "Pink is Better." I feel like it deserves a review, and is definitely already in the conversation for best album of January.
For Free Smoke you should do Illmatic vs another album to see if one of you can argue over Illmatic which is considered the greatest (at least one of) album by many
Not mad at this rating but I would’ve given features an AMAZING rate, artist performance AMAZING. Also I thought it was an AMAZING album overall 10/10 for me. I love this project! INSTANT CLASSIC.
Every artist on here is signed...including Aaron may...EMPIRE is still a label and so is united masters and RCA has some of the best artists in the game right now, including Kenny Mason
I feel like Earl has a thought, writes a couple bars about what he’s feeling, gets an alchemist beat and then calls it a day on that track then just slaps it on an album. Half of these tracks seem like snippets more then full songs… seems like they were literally put together in 10 minutes.. there’s no structure to his shit.. most of these “songs” are just whatever to me.. nothing is calling me back because he raps for like 40 seconds on a 1 and and half minute track.. the fuck am i supposed to do with that? I actually like Earls writing and the things he says I just wish he expanded more on these ideas.. I love Doris and IDLSIDGO but idk this ain’t it. tabula Rasa with Armand Hammer is great I’ll say that. 2010, Visions with Zelooperz and Fire in the Hole are cool. That’s it, over-all it just whatever to me. Idk man if you love this type of shit, more power to you!
NFR I love you guys but I must say, do y’all really do the album justice when reviewing it mere hours after it’s release? Why not have a live reaction to the album and wait with the review after one has digested the music? I get that you gotta be the first ones out but I feel like that’s doing the music a disservice

Sick is way better than FABEV. FABEV is good but it doesn’t have the consistency, production, or even lyrics of Sick. Both are good, but Sick is just too good
@@coastercraziness that's cool I only gave sick one listen so maybe I'm wrong here, but I'm still not taking a mid rating for FABEV. Like I'm actually tripping on if we are listening to the same thing💀

I didn't expect Earl to go so unconventional with his music remembering him from Odd Future, but I'm here for it.
this is his smoothest album to listen to
