I love how they react to him. It's like his existence is known, but they've never actually seen him. And on top of that, he's not always the sad and gloomy guy.
devalues music? one of the main points of the in rainbows release model was to show it was not about how much it made the band, music is worth more than any amount of money
yeah, rossy is a huge radiohead fan. I remember when thom and jonny were in his show and rossy asked thom what it was like to be in the best band in the world. thom went all coy and rossy followed it up with 'come on you must know you are'. judging from noels reaction, and jimmy beaming with pride at having thom on, they're both huge fans too.
this is pretty much the funniest thing i've ever seen. Noel's expression afterwards is fucking wonderful ^^ what the hell was Lily so upset about? who gives her the right to judge? i think that them giving the buyer the option to pay what they liked was a very kind thing to do. especially for those who can't really afford to pay twenty bucks for a new cd or for those who don't have itunes. what precident is she setting? in order to make it as a band, you have to charge a horrible price?
@@ExileOnDaytonStreet Neither does letting a label bleed you dry. I think at the end of the day, self-releasing music at name your price has become the norm for growing artists, partially thanks to radiohead, but mainly thanks to websites like Bandcamp making it so easy to do so. Many bands and artists want nothing to do with labels (rightfully so) and prefer to self release their music.
@@bipbong2906 It is probably the best way forward for musicians in the ecosystem that's been set up for them. Thankfully, technology advances have made it easier/cheaper to set up at least middling quality recording studios in one's own home, so that helps make that more viable. Still not as profitable for the indie-label crowd, I'd imagine, yet also better than how things were looking after the Napster-era. So much else to talk about with that, but I don't think I've got the time to opine on it at the moment. Glad artists don't have to be ripped off by labels, but we also have to admit that the cash flow for recorded music in the streaming-era is probably pretty low for anyone other than the biggest of big artists.
I think Lilly Allen, whoever she is, doesn't quite get it. Radiohead wanted to change the system in terms of distributing music, thus changing the norm of how we listen to music (check out the interview with Dave Fanning; great one). However there is some truth to what Allen says about new musicians trying to get in. The reason Radiohead can do what they did with In Rainbows and TKOL is because they're Radiohead, people know about em and can "expect" what they're gonna put on their album.
Noel Fielding is blown away by that! ...is that real? Yeah that's real! How brilliant is that!? I know! That's better than having two legs... Just priceless! XD
yes, that´s right...but it doesn´t matter anyway, it´s about the music he´s doing, which is really great and beautiful. there´s so much passion ( is that right? i´m not english =) ) in his music, like i´ve never seen before
I love how they react to him. It's like his existence is known, but they've never actually seen him. And on top of that, he's not always the sad and gloomy guy.
Thom Yorke has the best laugh ever.
I love how well Jonathan Ross understands Thom Yorke. He was brilliant at talking to Thom on his show. Well done to him for saying 'Don't mock him'
I love Noel Fielding and Jonathan ross, because they're actually not too stuck up their arse to be a fan of someone elses... :)
"And now to the supreme god of music, Thom Yorke". It's so cool to see how proud Jimmy Carr is to have Thom on the show :D
I agree, we need more musicians like Thom Yorke and Trent Reznor.
Matthew Arden litrerally my 2 favorite artists
devalues music? one of the main points of the in rainbows release model was to show it was not about how much it made the band, music is worth more than any amount of money
yeah bro agreed that segment pissed me off lol
Yes Lily Allen, it devalues music if money is the only reason you started making music.
IS THAT REAL
Hes too sweet I cant function
Thom's comic timing is perfect!
He rules, and so do The Radioheads.
Thommo is the best ain't he

Ahahaha "Can you tell me...Can you tell me...Can the panel tell me"
That laugh
the radioheads are truly a great band
Oh Thom, so adorable
Only Thom Yorke could cause such madness with a 30 second clip of him asking a question :) The reactions of everyone there are amazing
Thom Yorke = amazing. And to think I will be seeing him on stage in only two months.
incredible how a man like Thom, can be so extremely serious with what he does.. but also so incredibly unserious and funny
He's a fucking genius!

the radioheads are my favorite band

i love his voice, He's My Favourite Singer in The World.
Lilly, should it be about making money? Or, as an artist yourself, should it be about expressing yourself? Lets see how long you stick around.
I mean, self-expression doesn't pay the mortgage

Its 13 years later and she is wiped off the map
seriously. he's a friggin genious
LOL at Fielding XD the man was pleasantly surprised
Lilly Allen values her music at £12
Radiohead values it at whatever people think it's worth. Putting a price of 0 on it sort of makes it priceless.
Awesome. I'm seeing them next week... it's been a LONG wait
Gotta love the way Yorke laughs!

yes, that´s right...but it doesn´t matter anyway, it´s about the music he´s doing, which is really great and beautiful. there´s so much passion ( is that right? i´m not english =) ) in his music, like i´ve never seen before

Thom has the coolest nerdy laugh ever.....
good old times
when Thom does that laugh he's taking the piss out of Jimmy
"thanks for the 50p"
Despott I do not understand that part. What he ment to say? Can u explain me, please? English is not my first language
Cynthia Marina I think he was hinting that since Jimmy is rich, he should pay 50pounds
@@iliveonatropicalisland6086 no it means that Jimmy paid fifty pence (pennies) for the album. The joke is that Jimmy is a stingy git
@@MichaelFreckelton ahhhh
Is it just me, or would some combination of Colin, Thom and Ed as a team on Big Fat Quiz be excellent?
i agree...radiohead are one of the greatest bands of this generation.
radiohead can do whatever they like with their albums.
Hilarious laugh,thom.lol.
Greatest. Laugh. EVER! xD
