    I had these in shade and sun too. They did quite well in the shade. Granted I did keep them pruned tight and narrow but still flowered well.

    I just moved my Pink Chiffon Rose of Sharon to the front. Not enough sunlight being in the back. I keep all my shrubs trimmed at the bottoms, I always think they are neater looking, open and airy. Thank you for the helpful tips 🌻🌸

    My Rose of Sharon look more like trees with one main trunk. Some have white flowers, the other two have pink and then purple. But the shape is the same. Was hoping to shorten some that are dropping seeds into the neighbor's back lawn. I wondered if topping it off would make it bushier because the are very few lower branches.

      Yes it can

    How does replanting work with fall pruning? I live in Michigan, so should I wait till Spring to prune for replanting the clippings?

    • @creationsbydx
      @creationsbydx  3 месяца назад

      They are pretty resilient. They may take, but yes it would be best to do spring prune and plant at this point as in Mi we are already having frost.

    When propagating a branch, do you start with a pot and can you do it inside over the winter I live in zone 5A.

    • @creationsbydx
      @creationsbydx  2 года назад

      I do not start with a pot normally, I go straight into the ground, but I have started in pots before as well. You can do either. There is no reason you couldn't bring them inside for the winter to start the process, but you will probably find that since its still fall if you start now outside you may see results in spring

    So the lawn man accidentally cut down my Rose of Sharon do you think it will come back I've been watering it it just happened a week or two ago

    • @creationsbydx
      @creationsbydx  3 года назад +1

      I'm sorry tohear that, they are pretty hardy plants. I cut down a seedling with a weedwacker and it still comes back every season. You will probably be ok. May not be this season though. So I would say just keep an eye on it, try not to overwater it they don't need a ton of water.

    If the branches are in your pathway, how about training it into a small tree like Butterfly bush?

      Jason,
      I am sorry about the delay in responding... Zone 6a. The one I pruned in the video I planted 8 years ago. The other about 6.

    Can you cut apple trees in late fall zone 5a?

    • @creationsbydx
      @creationsbydx  2 года назад

      Yes...I do in 6a, but most are pruned in early spring

    Hello. Is this plant evergreen or does it lose leaves during fall/winter? I bought one this summer and it has lost all the leaves. I'm not sure if it's dormant or if it's dead. Thanks in advance.

    • @creationsbydx
      @creationsbydx  3 года назад +2

      Yes it does drop all of its leaves, will often look like a stick, in the winter and spring. Will slowly start to grow back into the summer.

      @@creationsbydxI don't think you actually talk too much. I think for me it's waiting for the break for breath. I tend to get in sync with whoever is talking and get stressed if there are not enough breaks in between sentences. Only really noticed it after I had a concussion that grew into post concussion syndrome. So I think just getting some silent breaks in there would be good👍😊❤🇨🇦🙏
