I'm looking for a heavy duty machine that is ideal for denim leather vinyl several layers for bag making. Is the 2200 the best or is there a better one
I've recently purchased thus machine but I'm looking for an extension table to fit it but can't find one for this particular model, is there an option that would fit?
The Hd1800 does look like the same body but with less functions and stitches than the HD2200 the British one looks like it is aimed at dressmakers rather than just denim work the Janome HD2200 carries lots more stretch stitches for jersey and other stretch fabrics.
Yes they all stem from the same frame, it sounds like you will have a few less stitches and depending on price the 5 -7 - 9 point feed dog but the body is tried and tested and been selling since the old memory crafts of 30 years ago. there is no better body.
I'm finding it it very difficult to compare the strength of the HD2200 vs the Singer 4432. How can I tell which can go through the most/heaviest multi-layer fabrics and leather? Janome don't put any motor power information in their machine specifications whilst singer states 83watts... any help would be greatly appreciated.
Motor power has nothing to do with the quality of the machine which is why Janome don't mention it, I would always advise going into a shop and try them both. All the machines we sell we whole heartedly back as being high quality machines.
Hi, this was a great video - really informative. I’m torn between purchasing this machine and the Janome 725S, do you have any thoughts on which machine is better? I have read brilliant reviews of both and am struggling to make my mind up especially as shops are closed and there is no possibility to test them out.
Can you do another vid on actually how to pick the stitches etc? Total novices just bought this machine would watch simple instructions! Bet you’re views subscribers would increase and me and my friend who bought one fir a new hobby can hardly find anything fir this model :0)

What is the HD2200 like for more delicate fabrics?
Perfect as it has the best fabric feed Janome offer.

Without going to the HD9 it’s the best domestic machine you can get

Do you sell Janome HD3000? I am looking for it everywhere, but it is only available in the US - and nowhere in the UK...
Tanya, Our version in the UK is the HD2200, same machine essentially just a few cosmetic differences but built on the same frame.
In Croatia I can only find the HD1800 Easy Jeans, is it the same machine?

Maya, go for which one you can afford they are both great but the extra price is there for a reason.
The HD2200 is in a class of its own.
