Thank you kindly! Yeah I think I really loved the Black one especially, the environment was the most interesting. The blue was cool too but man that Blue dragon was a pain to paint! :D
Thank you so much Chester! Yeah hahaha! I am going to take a break from Dragons for a while now! But I will at some point paint the metallic dragons for sure! :D Thanks for the nice comment!🤘
Great series mate a lot of hard work has gone into them to pump them out. I have no idea what one I like the most as they all seem to have their own story.
Checking out this video for reference as I'm actually using the young black dragon mini to paint a red dragon supervillain, I enjoy watching miniature painting minis to help me into painting them, I mostly suck at doing this because I have shake hands but it's a really fun productive hobby, keep up the good work
Awesome and far better detailed, as always. In my paint of the Young Red Dragon, I actually went with black and dark blue highlights, to give it that "burned metal" look that the guide says it has. The base I made to look like a lava field, mostly obsidian black with red, orange, and yellow fluorescent pain in the cracks and crevices that really glow like lava under blacklight. To top it off, I actually glued a light dusting of ashes to the base. I also used the fluorescent paint for the fireball from it's mouth so that it'll glow too.

I just found your channel, and I just started painting miniatures. You really have a great eye for it all. The ultimate crown jewel would be to paint a miniature of Tiamat!
Well hello and welcome to my humble RUclips channel! Thank you so much for the nice words! :D I actually do have the Reaper version of Tiamat which I am saving up to paint some day! :D
Lief, will you be working through the metallic dragons at any time? You have done the best takes I've seen on the chromatics and I'd love to see what you would do with them.
Great video. Attempted this but some of my paints werent matching what u did in video. They are the dnd sets but they are the same. Whats the 100% color match mean on ur bottles
Thank you kindly! The 100% Match just means that The Army Painter has these colors as aerosol primers and that the two colors are guaranteed to match each other! :)
That's awesome man! Yeah I did the wash in the Green dragon video! Good luck! And if you don't have any flow improver then you can use a drop of dish detergent! :D
DAS still exists? I haven’t seen that stuff since I was a kid in the 70’s. I remember using it to create a Martian landscape diorama for a school project. Regarding your mini, it’s exquisite as always. I love the black at the edges of the beautifully highlighted red. I’m working on the Shimmergloom Shadow Dragon mini from a friend’s Legend of Drizzt game, so I may use the painting techniques for this one, but with purples and dark greys. Do you layer multiple colours for the transparent breath weapon piece? Lastly, I don’t know which of the chromatic dragons is my favourite: green, probably then red. The bases with the added waterfronts are epic, so the blue and black are also great. I hope that doesn’t sound like I dislike your white dragon.
Apparently it does! I picked it up like a year ago or such? Thanks for the nice comment! Regarding the transparent bit I just shot some transparent yellow in at it and then some red! Haha! Everyone dislikes the White Dragon ;)
