First time watcher. You will do fine with this guy... slow and quiet will do wonders. There is no rush. I love how you admitted that you do not know it all but are willing to learn. I agree with the other comment, there are lots of training videos and I too like Ryan Rose, but there are some that work mostly with mustangs . Best of luck.
Thanks, I appreciate the comment. I figure anyone watching could tell right off I don’t know what I’m doing 🤣, but I’m looking forward to learning and documenting the journey. Thanks again for watching, I hope you subscribed
O wow ! This is quite a process has the horse become all the way tame if so how long total did the process take? Greetings from Paducah Ky by the way...
I’ve been working with Blaze off and on for over a year. He is not broke but has calmed down quite a bit. All horses are different, it’s hard to say how long the process will take. Thanks for watching
Geeze! Im feeling a little confused on what you want from this horse. You point for him to go around so then he does. However the next time you point he tries to follow but you block him and keep hitting the ground keeping the pressure on. I have watched many horse training videos. They seem more straightforward. What am I missing here?
I’m not sure if you heard the audio that I am just outside of the frame in the video in the near right hand side of the pen. The trainer, Sky, applies pressure until the horse gets close to me on the near end of the pen and then he releases the pressure. He is trying to establish the area around me as being a safe place. I hope that explains things a little.
@@perryfrazeoutdoors8019 I think if you check out other trainers like Ryan Rose you will find its about establishing yourself as the leader and gaining the horses trust/The horse will eventually see you as a safe place to be and come to you.
