Data is often perceived as inevitably cold, but instead it can be more than numbers, it can represent real life, it can be a snapshot of the world in the same way that a picture catches small moments in time. The speaker talks about serendipity in data, analog data and definitely small data, and how data can help us become more human, to reconnect numbers to what they stand for: people, behaviors, and our lives.
