It is always amazing to me how there is always someone who can find faults and criticize somebody who is just trying to make someone feel a little bit better after such a terrible thing happening to them. There's an old saying that has been true since forever which is..."laughter is the best medicine" so this person has something against that priest who...is clearly a heck of a nice guy...who simply wanted to lift President Trump's spirits for a moment after everything he's been through??? That is the biggest smile I think I've ever seen on President Trump's face and he really needed it.

He's a fellow LCMS (Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod) pastor, conservative, confessional, true historic Lutheran pastor and church body, one of so few such church bodies that still remain today.
They should have said he was. Most thought he was probably Catholic since he was saying the Benediction. 😬
The benediction is part of the Lutheran liturgy as well

1. Pastor here is Lutheran(Missouri synod), which is cool cause they usually don't have well thought out prayers.
2. Trump is a presbyterian, if in name only, he's likely more similar to an evangelical (Baptist or non-denominational) at this point (Hooray! Go team Eva!)
3. Biden has been rejected communion, so not in proper communion with the Vatican
4. JD Vance IS a proper Catholic, so if you want the Vatican you need Trump

He stated in an Issues Etc. podcast interview that he likes to make people laugh. He is not known as a priest in Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod but he is a Reverend and is called pastor. Pastors in our church wear the clerical collar and often get confused as Roman Catholic priests - which can cause some problems when a pastor is with a wife!
