Finn is growing so fast...she's really long...yea your mum and dad are grandparents now...I'm a mum to 3 birth children 4 adopted boys...7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren...I'm 73yrs young...love your videos....wot a fabulous private beach...I thought you had lost flamingo then I thought you wer going to float off...

If you rough up the root ball with a trowel or even a screwdriver before you place the plant in the dirt, the roots have a better chance of establishing themselves. Water from the roots throughly more than spraying the leaves this way the sun won't dry out the plant foliage. I learned all this over the years the hard way ... killed many a plant in my day before I learned this. LOL BTW, don't know if you were kidding, Tucker, but never leave the baby in the car alone, please. Temps in a vehicle get high very quickly.

Keep on kicking your feet in the water till you and the flamingo get to shallow water. Don’t worry about your hat even thou you look cool in it. Glad you all are having fun as a family. These are the greatest memories you can have to cherish. Finley is a lucky baby to have such great parents.

58:57 lmao, Sammi! Thank you - I almost bought something similar on Amazon recently. Then I thought, ehhh I'll wait it out a little and see if I come across a nice, vintage one from a thrift store or yard sale. The plastic medium sized one I have for now has served me well so far. That's just too funny though- almost made the same impulse buy this summer.

A thought....we had a spruce bush planted on our waterline and had to bring it down as it got too tall and it's roots were pulling on the line. Keep in mind those bushes grow fast as they tap into the waterline. Only thing I miss is more viewing time watching you two. Like to see more of Paul and your Mom and Dad. Sasquatch is the right name for your Dad, how did that originate, what is the story behind him receiving a great name? More, keep them coming.

I never had luck planting plants in my shadow boxes. They dried out too fast. I think the trick may be to get plants that stay smaller, less roots so they don't dry out quickly. The part with Tucker going after the flamingo scared the daylights out of me but then after he got it, he gave me a good laugh when he said he might actually be gone. I was so happy to see him back on shore. Again, the sweetest family!! Sammie you are looking good, after only one month from having Finn. You all bring some sunshine into my life! Thanks for sharing. I agree about the window plants, watering them more is hard on the boxes they dryout and pull apart. 🪴 Planting takes a lot of thought and it's good to get a professional opinion first.

It’s only been 30 days , Sammie will find her groove. Not everyone is comfortable doing what your hinting at right away. Especially when breast feeding .
The best advice I got before having my miracle baby at 42. Was “ don’t do everything “. One of the worst times was teaching our child to drive. The first person who takes them out, ends up doing it the whole time.😵💫

When you repot plants you have to break up the root ball a bit otherwise the will become brittle and die. Finley is gorgeous. Much love!

Hey Tucker & Sammie, I love how you split up your video into several days worth of activities you do as a family now, it makes it even more interesting than just one episode dedicated to one event if that even makes sense!
Also I just wanted to give you some gardening advice from someone who has 40+ years of exp....I know it gets cold in New Jersey, but IDK what planting zone you are in ( you can Google it to find out) But when you plant flowers and shrubs in the fall, it's always better to plant in the ground instead of in planters if you live in an area that has freezing Temps! If a plant in a planter is exposed to freezing temps, the whole planter is going to freeze bc planters are shallow, verses the ground that still maintains warmth in its depths. If a planter freezes completely, it's like your plant roots are stuck in an ice cube and cannot survive! You might be able to get away with the arborvites in the deeper planters if you have milder winters than we have here in Chicago, but if you get sub freezing temps, you'll lose them. Even a greater possibility with the plants you planted in the planters in front of your house! They aren't as deep, so the chances of the plants freezing are greater if it gets two cold! That's why most ppl with hanging window boxes on their houses, plant annuals in the spring in their planters, instead of planting something in them in the fall! They do this bc " annuals" are called that bc at the end of the season they die, so you have them from spring until the first frost. It looks like you planted perennials in the window boxes ( was that Salvia, or lavender by any chance?) If you have a mild winter, they will probably come back, but if it gets too cold and their roots freeze, they won't! 😔
I have a rather large garden of both in the ground plants that I have planted ( I love planting roses) and planters that I plant my annuals in. I also plant miniature roses and lavender in planters, and if we have a mild winter, they will usually come back the next year, but if we get subfreezing temps, which is common here, they can't survive in the planters! If your plants out in front don't survive the winter, I'd suggest you think about starting your planting next year in late spring, usually in mid to late May, or once the danger of frost has passed!
I hope this makes sense and this isn't a criticism, just don't want you to keep spending all your money on plants that might not survive if you get a deep freeze, but it's always good to know what planting zone you live in! 👍

Watching the 2 of you learn and navigate how to be new, young parents... entrepreneurs... Thrifters! And pickers. Also watching the everyday simplicity, the great meals you 2 eat that God provides, your work/jobs, visiting with fam and friends, and neighbors, even the errands. I think a lot of us like it this way. Although most of us are not RUclipsrs, your lives are so easy to relate to for many of us.

Check on what times of day is best to water your planets. I normally water before 8am or right before dark. Most people think about watering in the heat of the day, but that's the worst time. Love you all bunches.

When my baby was a new born we went to the Jersey shore every weekend and we did use sunscreen but never a hat and my daughter got sunburn badly on her head that we ended up taking her to the ER. So please protect Finn.

Every time you call her Finster, I think of the Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs finds a baby, but it's really a little person bank robber! PS: I'm the sock knitter, so glad they fit! I'm never sure about baby sizes, so I'm super happy they do.
I think your hand knit socks are adorable...Finn seems to love the bright colors..she was focused on them with her little feet in the air❣️I’ve seen some brightly colored ones with bright puff balls attached to the toes or jingle bells firmly attached as well.
