    Mate your videos are the best! I moved to Japan last year and had never skiied before, so I watched your beginner tutorial and by the 2nd day I was flying down the mountain with my skis parallel!!! I recently got back from another little ski trip where I was starting to practice some carving from another one of your tutorials, I am absolutely hooked! This video will be great for tackling that sweet japow at the top of the mountain! Thank you so much, keep up the good work!

    8:18 🤣🤣🤣 growing up skiing in Colorado, I feel ya!! That's exactly the feeling we get addicted to. Technique is completely dependent on conditions: whether it's champagne powder, hardpack, crust, sierra cement, dust on crust, groomed corduroy, or ice out East, you play with gravity to flow down the hill. 💕

    The fore and aft movement is the best explanation I have heard on how to get the skis to come out of the snow at the end of a turn. Being a piste skier for years I learnt very quickly that I needed to steer with the feet when in powder, but I have struggled with getting a good up and down motion in powder, transferring the weight onto the heels towards the end of the turn makes so much sense. Can’t wait to have a chance try it out.

      Yes but do not be backseated. If your new to powder it can be easier to just focus on the pumping drill I talk about in my how to ski powder 10 tips video. I aimed this video to intermediate powder skiers.

I saw what looked like a mostly white pair, your atomics, and then a multi-colored pair. • @IRON_NIC
      @IRON_NIC 3 года назад

      I have the exact same setup as you, 184 version. I mounted them recommended and they are really playful, I like them but sometimes they feel a bit wobbly. Check out his video for different mounting options, he mounts them a bit rearwards. And BTW, they are AMAZING IN POWDER. Have fun Jacopo!

    • @src248
      @src248 3 года назад +1

      Blister said that that combination was pretty ideal, if you're looking for a very playful ride you'll probably love them at recommended. If you want a bit more of a directional ride I doubt mounting back 2 cm would ruin the ski (that's what I did on my Revolt 121s with basically the same mount point, works great for me)
