The Confederations Cup is a very underrated tournament. In my opinion it is the biggest and most difficult tournament to win after the World Cup, European Championship and the Copa America. The best teams of each continent/confederation compete, so to win it deserves more respect and significance than what it currently gets. In 1992 Saudi Arabia were the best team in Asia, the US were the best team in North and Central America and the Caribbean, the Ivory Coast were the best in Africa and Argentina were the best in South America and arguably the best team in the world at the time (along with Germany and Denmark). In this tournament, the Ivory Coast underperformed immensely and were much better than their two heavy losses to Argentina and the US suggested. The US were a strong but very young team and the Saudis played a very impressive attacking brand of football. But Argentina were a class above - highly technical and complete all over the pitch. It was a great curtain-raiser for what would become a very important tournament to globalise the beautiful game.

Fue una «putada de madre» el haber quitado esta competición, sólo por el berrinche de muchas selecciones que no pudieron clasificar al no ganar la copa de su Confederación; aunque asistieron pésimas versiones de equipos como Tahití, Grecia, Arabia Saudita, etc, en los resultados la mayoría de las veces se exhibía la realidad en la que se encontraban las confederaciones, pero tras hacer el ridículo muchas de esas selecciones participantes mejoraban llegando a clasificar al mundial del siguiente año (cómo Nueva Zelanda en 2010, Arabia Saudita en 1998, Australia en 2006, Camerún en 2002, etc. ) otros despedían a sus generaciones doradas o por individual a sus jugadores leyenda ( como México en 1999, Alemania en 2017,etc. ). El vacío que dejará esta competición no se llenará ni con su ridículo mundial de clubes, la cual estará más pobre futbolísticamente y habrá más ridículos (goleadas morbosamente grotescas) que no servirán como parámetro o autocrítica para mejorar a una selección ni confederación, ni siquiera el espectáculo será igualado.

That´s because your country chooses to pay tons of money for reknown world class players to assemble their teams, instead of renewing and investing in the base, formed by players born in Saudi Arabia. Spain onlt became WC winners after realizing thet Spanish foorball must stop relying solely on world class club players from other countries.

Estaba mal organizada,se lo realizaba un año antes del mundial y eso le quitaba importancia,ojalá vuelva en un futuro y mejor organizada
