to get that reggae feel spot on, you want to make your organ play on contretemps. That means that if you count: 1 and, 2 and, 3 and, 4 and; you want it to play on the and's. Keep it up bro, youre cooking some crazy stuff.

This is actually a groove i can’t lie, reminds me of when i first started making beats and I’d have a random beat that was actually really good and gave me hope😂 keep going bro, you’re on the right path i promise

No one should make reagge. It´s the only genre that pisses me off. But from a craftsman standpoint you´re on your way! Btw. What DAW are you using? I´m into Ableton so I don´t recognize this at all.

You definitely have the right pieces for reggae in the project, but the tempo is too fast. The average tempo is usually around the 80-110 bpm for Reggae.
I can't tell you exactly what you need to do since I've only started composing songs myself for a few months now. But I also threw my hand once in making a Reggae song too. What I could tell you is that you should try to mess with some steel drums, and play it as a melody/leads of sorts. FL comes with a couple that are in the browser bar on the left under "Packs > Legacy > Instruments > Percs". They have a couple you can mess with (and even the same exact one Soulja Boy used in "Crank That Soulja Boy" lol). Just wanted to give you an FYI, if you didn't know that already my dude 🤙🤙

Thanks for the tips, I completely forgot about the legacy packs FL have lmao.

Also you should add a beat and a tone here and there in your stems to keep the ear interested. just a little bit not much. Even a single note or drum hit should do the trick.

Yeah I struggle a lot with the percussion, most of the time it sounds way too square but it ends up sounding wrong when I try to spice it up.
