There is nothing more important than protecting our planet and the animals we share it with. I'm so happy Kerby has chosen to inform and support that cause with a beautiful colouring book. It really is a win-win.
Hi Claire. I 'm a Brazilian biologist and this is the first Kerby book that I buy (I 'm waiting for delivery), because it touched me deeply. Many things went on in my head as you flipped through these images. And it is exactly what you said, it is not about Kerby, but about the animals that we are destroying every day. I'm sorry for my English. I love your videos.
What a wonderful review Claire... I love the depth you went into, the care you have towards the animals and the book itself, I really love. I'm not a "doodle" lover but do love how Kirby blends the habitat into the animals many times. Very cleverly done in many instances. As for the pictures that were more about the animal only, it was a nice change. Have a lovely evening, Easter
Very much so Easter Ellen, I Love the way Kerby has blended the animal with their habitats, and given each animal a 'Voice', which invites us to bring the message home. Am soo looking forward to bring stunning animals to 'Life' Thank you as ever Kerby Rosanes XXX🎨🖌️💜🖌️🎨🦋🤗🤗
Thank you Claire for another wonderful review. I had already ordered the book, but, this sealed the deal! I love the "wrong again" guesses! I tried to play along with you and I was surprised several times too. I can't wait to see what you colour! Canada has the US version so the paper in my first "Kerby" book is cream, but, the up side is that the spine can be cracked and there is 1 - 2 mm space on each side so you don't have to dig into the groove to colour. Cheers!
Thank you Claire, I have been waiting for your thoughts and review of Kerbys new book. This is such an important book Kerby has created. Kerby have given each of these beautiful and endangered species a Voice! Truly is created to make think blessed be. Open people's eyes to what is happening in the here and now to the world's wildlife God Bless 😪💜. As you say Kerby is making us Aware as of the critical damage us humans have done to this beautiful planet and the wildlife living on our beautiful planet. Thank you Kerby for your everstunning drawing allowing use to bring each animal to life and giving them a Voice with the important information. I have ordered this and should arrive very soon. Claire, can you let us know when the US version is out and will you be doing a review on the US version? Thank you again Claire & Kerby Rosanes. I am looking forward to colour & paint XX Stay safe, Take care as always dear Claire from Us3 here Lizzie, Josh & Pixie Bella XXX ☮️💜🎨🖌️🖊️🖋️☕☕🤗🤗😊
Thanks so much for the in-depth flip through. I second you 100% with everything you said. I support animal protection whereever I can. I will be receiving this book next week. The artwork is fantastic, love it there are no doodles. The page you colored is amazing. So glad also Kerby is donating part of the royalties.
Thank you for a wonderful review. I live in the States, but ordered my copy from the Book Depository to get the stitch bound copy. I love how he is using this book to bring so much light to endangered animals and habitats. I will not mind not having the doodles.
Oh my Claire, I dont think I have ever had my throat constrict and have to sit not blinking while watching a colouring book review, so ummm thanks 😂 Taz the cat hit my face wondering what was wrong. Absolutely amazing review x
It is soooooo handy that he told us what kind of animal it is....this helps to look for reference foto's for the right colors. Can you tell me how the paper is....can we use a little wet mediums in it?
Thank you for a great review and for your earlier flip through! I immediately went over and ordered a copy after seeing it. For me personally, this is my absolute favorite of Kerby’s books because it is simpler and has a lot of more realistic drawings without all the fiddley bits. I love that he donating a percentage of the sales to a great cause too. ❤️❤️❤️
Love this review I the ordered mine and shall be here tomorrow 😊 I'm home schooling my kids (2 in high school 1 in last year at primary 4 year old twins and 2 year old) I think this will be great to educate them about endangered animals, and my younger ones in years to come! I feel a project coming on! Lovely book, thank you Claire x
when I saw your first flip through, I said I have to get this book even if I don't colour everything because the illustrations are so good! Thanks for a good review as always.
Me to right? I was Soooooo happy that those busy doodles were gone. So much more beautiful. His work is amazing I just never could make those busy doodles work. I learned to just ignore them. I think this is his best work he has brought to us yet and I hope he continues this "doodle free" style.
@@scruffy281 So true the doodles took away the beauty of his work! Although, I guess it did help him stand out from the crowd and get noticed as something special. Now that he has our attention it would be great if he redid his earlier books in this new style!
Which pencils did you find worked best Claire? I received mine yesterday, but the paper although on the thicker quality, seems quite smooth with little tooth.
Interesting that the version printed in America doesn't have the "A royalty from the sale of this book will be donated to..." line. That was part of the reason I bought this book (I'm quite sure I'll never colour much of it). It is a beautiful book. I'll have to find a way to make my own donation.
I have this in my Amazon wish list. It's a beautiful book, whether you color it or leave it as a book of sketches. Totally worth it. I prefer the UK binding, but I am from the States. Thank you for showcasing this.
This is my favorite book of Kerby's and the main reason I started the New Year 2023 with goals to master animals, especially fur, so I can do this book justice. I have TWO copies, one to play and practice and one to get series and do as realistic as I can. I am covering ever page in that one with gesso so I can put down pastel and poly chromos. I hope to have the book done this year. Wish me luck :)
Super review as always Caire, I promised myself no more books but for this I will make an exception. I am not keen on the doodles in previous books but this seems different as the backgounds are related to the main subject. As a keen conservationist I hope that this book will raise awareness of what we are doing to our wonderful planet and make us all think twice about the choices we make.
Beautiful review... lengthy but it needed that much time or perhaps more to explain the thought behind it... thank you Claire for such a thoughtful review.. definitely gonna buy!!!
Thank you Claire for a Fantastic and informative video, I just received the book yesterday and I personally think it is best one so far, and that he is helping a good cause too making people more aware and knowledge of protecting our animals... love your Orangutan he is stunning x
Lovely book!!! I love his doodles, and I miss them, but the images are stunning! And yes raising awareness is very important! Is that the LOM edition? I would really love to get the stitched bound one!
Hi Claire, Thanks for a great review ... I’m new to coloring and I am considering this book and so looked for a flip through. As you were telling us about the animals and how they are endangered all I kept thinking is.... how many trees will be chopped down to produce these books for people to color endangered animals?!
There are sustainable ways I suppose, like FSC certified forests where they plant multiple trees for every one they remove. I don't really know much about it to be honest x
Bit late but just to inform you, I am a proud owner of an axolotl, its name is guacamole ( because there a Mexican food haha) and people caring for them and breeding them is the one thing keeping alive the species. Human interference was a factor in there endangerment but we managed to partially save them. Loved the video and this book.
I don’t think I would ever miss the doodles. I respect his art, but I think the do a disservice to his illustrations. This is more something I would enjoy more 😍. I miss your videos and I hope you are OK!
At first I thought the multiple pages with mountains and animals on their back was lazy illustration but then I realized he may be stressing how important these animals are with the fact that they carry the weight of the ecosystems survival on their backs.

Stunning, heartbreaking book.
Reminds me why I have such little love for our own species.
Thanks for the review, Claire ❤
I can’t wait to get my copy next month, this book looks breathtaking! No doodles!😮👍🏼 Happy coloring! 🥰

I really appreciate your detailed and honest reviews. It makes it so much easier to decide if I would personally like something or not.
I have all his 'morphia' books and Worlds within Worlds. I can't wait to have this one too! Looks amazing as always 😊

I love the direction Kerby is taking with less doodles and more natural images! Love this book and can't wait till it is released in March!
If your in the uk I received my copy from Amazon yesterday
@@Alexandra-hp4mv Unfortunately, it doesn't release in the US until March.

The rhino story is How the Rhinoceros got his skin from Rudyard Kiplings Just So Stories which are just brilliant. Also love your reviews

As always lovely review love the pictures however wouldn't get it due too much shading on the pictures and I wouldn't know how to colour.
Thank you Claire for this coloring book review. This is a coloring book that is an educator to the public. I just love this book. Love Terri Simmers

Very good point x
I love this book
I stop watching any video where I have to look at someone’s hands for the first two minutes.
That's a shame, you might be missing great videos because you don't simply skip ahead... Would certainly take less time than writing a comment 😊
Wow...did ya have to read about EVERY animal??
Less is more...
Actually, my subscribers frequently tell me they love my long, in-depth reviews. But thank you for your feedback.
