I wouldn't call him a liar. But I wouldn't believe anything he says. He's one of these guys who believes what he believes and won't listen to anyone else, facts or not. Ugh.
Seems like he's the type of guy who has gotten through life by shouting down or talking over everyone in his path. He doesn't understand when things don't go his way and he's not about to what anyone else tells him to do.
I know a couple of people like this. Eventually, they can't have their way, and they whine like babies and play the victim.
The guy just has his own version of the truth and won't listen to anybody who is trying to talk to him and explain things so there is no way he can ever change his view on what he considers the truth.
I've dealt with many people like that and thats probably also why he can't get a lawyer as it is impossible to represent people like that.
You can explain them things and the next day they will call you and start the conversation all over again ignoring whatever you told them the day before.
I agree, but not letting them in for pest control? He must have a self interest for doing this. Pets or a hoard. Something he'll get immediate questions about.
@@doug3512He's hard-of-hearing. That's why he had those earphones on with that. Peace hanging down when people are hard of hearing they speak louder and louder because they can't hear at a normal tone
So... he should run for office? (or get a job in legacy media)
If your couch is infested, you get rid of it immediately. If you can’t afford a replacement couch, you go without one until you can afford one.
You can get a decent couch at a thrift store!
He’ll move his bedbug-infested couch into the new apartment!
Yeah, I don't get that either LOL
Get some lawn chairs until you afford something else. If my couch was infested it would out the door instantly and set on fire lol
No doubt. Bedbugs=scorched earth. I know from experience that is the only solution.
Did anyone else see that guys son stand up and scratch his butt and his "frontal area"?? They may need to spray the courtroom for bedbugs!!!
Yep...saw it...nasty
He was just presenting some briefs.

Twice!!!
Judge Simpson has amazing patience. Exactly what you would want in a good and fair judge.
I thought the judge was a little smug though at times with the whole "how dare you question me!" routine. That old man clearly had some problems with independent living skills. I thought he was fairly polite in his own uneducated and raspy way.
Except he is not a good or fair judge.
A few videos ago, Simpson displayed alarming amounts of judicial misconduct and he has been suspended before for judicial misconduct. He is not the hero you are looking for.
He seems kind of emotionally unhinged to me. @@nobodyimportant7804
Lol lol lol...I have practiced in front of judge Simpson...let me tell you, he is not a "good" or "fair" judge
@@coolcarl571 awwww, did him lose his case with the mean ole judge Simpson? Hahahahahaha, I’ve seen a thousand of this judges videos, and I’ve never seen him be nothing but thoughtful, honest, and fair. There are times you can see him wish he could do something for some of these people, but have to remain objective. Your snide remark about him, tells tons about you.
The fact that the defendant STILL has the bed bug infested couch in his home tells me everything I need to know about him. 🙄
💯
Absolutely.. he ADMITTED that was the problem, but didn't have the 'funds' to REPLACE it? Take the daggone thing to the dump, and sit on the floor! Unfortunately, this guy must also be getting a Section 8 dwelling, for a lack of understanding common sense !!
Exactly
Exactly what I said to myself! You’re getting rid of it this month instead of TODAY?! 😅
Yeah, if you still have the nest you will continually have a problem until you remove it.
To say judge Simpson doesn't treat tenants fairly is ridiculous. He bends over backwards for tenants, even a little too far sometimes.
He kept a bug infested couch because he couldn't afford another one? I'd rather sit on a non-bug infested floor than a bug infested couch! Nasty.
The best part is that he has bed bugs and eggs on his clothes right in the courtroom. They're in his car too. His old infested couch is has to be 🔥
He probably picked that couch up off the curb....
@@chellejack3480 🤮
The thing about bed bugs too is the length of time you can be dealing with them. Without going into any specifics, an old workplace I was at had someone who brought them into our office. Took over a YEAR to get a negative test for the things. Assuming we got them all, but there is a super strong possibility we didn't. The things are crazy resilient and can be dormant forever.
@@JB-zu5gbAnd unlike cockroaches, having bed bugs is not at all related to poor hygiene. A lot of people seem to think so. I worked at a HUD/section 8 high rise apartment building where bed bugs were in almost all of the apartments. The company that came in to treat the problem gave me a ton of knowledge.
similar to the perception of lice, they actually prefer clean hair.@@usnva5638
My guess is he doesn't want the landlord to see the condition of the property? Otherwise, why would you not let them in for pest control?
Meth lab.
@@SqueakPip I don't see meth lab for this guy. Am I missing something? I'm thinking a hoarder, unapproved pets, or just general damage.
I think it's just a control issue. He doesn't have control over any aspect of his life, so he thinks he can have control over thus court hearing.
@@kat050107 I can see him being that way, but at risk of being evicted wouldn't he finally let them in at some point?
Omg is anyone else cringing thinking about the bed bug infested couch?? But he needs to get a new one before he removes it. My skin is crawling!😫
mine too...bedbugs..ugh!
I'm like, wait, he still has the couch!
@@iris-nx1wt It's like the thought of simply NOT having a couch was impossible to process. 🤣

Door# 1 couch with bed bugs
Door# 2 no couch
I'll take door # 2 sir
The person sitting in the front pew must have an infestation of the creepy-crawlies. Can't sit still for longer than a few moments, bouncing around and standing up and scratching themself.
Dude. is living in an apartment full of bed bugs. He plays victim when he had months if not years to resolve this issue. Keep your GD apartment (that is paid for by the taxpayers) semi clean and this issue wouldn't happen.
THIS!
And he still has the couch 🛋 that has the bed bugs in his apartment !!!!! If that was me, that would have been gone the moment I knew I had bed bugs !!!!
This is why I get upset when people say "the government should provide housing". Housing is just "provided". There's repairs, cleaning, upkeep, and just general stuff you do and don't do just to maintain the place. It makes more sense to me now. Sounds like his place is disgusting and producing bed bugs. It's spreading and the management really wants to exterminate now.
@@OSGCourtWatch nope
And On top of EVERYTHING ELSE...His Son has CRABS As Well 😂😂
Oh hell the courtroom is now infested. Watch the son at 15:14 stand up and be scratching dem balls!! Guess that's one way to get em out the house 😅
At the time of this hearing, he STILL has not removed the bed bug infested couch!!! How can he say he’s done nothing to get evicted??? He’s getting evicted because he’s DONE NOTHING to remove his OWN infested furniture!!!
That says it all. He’s keeping an infested couch in the house because he cant afford a new one.
Sad to say, but this guy is a little on the dull side of common sense...
And prior to court he was probably sitting on *that couch* ... bedbug cases should be heard over zoom to protect the public.
If you don't get a prep sheet, Google how to prep for bug treatment! You don't sit back and do nothing, until you're being evicted!
The son is in the courtroom just scratching away and I’m sure he can’t keep still because of all the creepy crawlies he’s carrying. 😂
I was checking comments to see if I was the only one seeing the scratching son!!
He’s submitting evidence for 20 minutes
Section 8 is VERY clear about how the premises must be maintained, when someone applies. Nothing crazy. Just safe (contract is very specific) & sanitary.
This guy is a hoarder.
Well that didn't go as well. This judge leans more towards the tenants every time. Anybody who accuses him of not being fair is insane😅
Love the fact that this dude won't toss out his bug-infested couch until he can find a suitable replacement for it! Guess we know where his priorities lay! Gotta have SOMETHING to sit on when watching Wheel of Fortune, right! lol!
The guy in the back stands up and scratches his junk for like a full minute straight 😅
Five seconds. Five seconds too long.
Funny how he sounds like the bug guy from Men in Black. 😄
He’s a joint legal team for the roaches in a suit
🤣🤣🤣
Yes!
Edgar! Maybe that's who he reminds me of
😂😂😂😂😂
this is on you sir
Legal Aid was shutdown as one of their clients left a bed bug infestation over at Legal Aid which resulted in Legal Aid getting evicted from their offices.
You're going to have to disinfect the courtroom 🤢
That jab at legal aid was a tad humourous.
legal aid..talk about a thankless job most of the time...more power to the folks that staff those services!
I took it as a jab at him (the defendant), meaning that it was formatted and coherent enough that even though he signed it, the document was clearly prepared by someone more competent lol
Judge Simpson is the grandfather you wish you had.
So he fathers one of my parents at age 12? That's sick dude.

I don't want him to be Grandpa, I want him to be my boyfriend. Judge Simpson is hot.
@@cgore4what?
@@RobertaReal7980 It was a joke.
you'd think by the time your reached 60 years of age, you'd have figured out how renting and allowing the landlord access to the unit to fix issues would work. if he would have been more agreeable to letting the landlord remedy issues, he'd still have a roof over his head. but, f around and find out
guys like this do make it easier for the rest of us who slack on stuff we're required to do but don't make it hard for the landlord to get access and do what they need to do.
Unless emergency must apartments need to give 48 hr notice (lease and state dependent). However if renter has put in work order that is consent.
No.."most" don't 'have' to. It's up to the lease agreement and each individual State's, statues..
Except they come without warning on a day they know he has to be in court. Twice.
@@marcus3d This guy knew full well that the landlord was going to evict over the condition the tenant keeps the apartment in if he cared he would have been screaming to the management to have the place exterminated but no he was doing his best to keep the exterminator out so now he is Sh*% out of luck deservedly so.
This man's son was totally distracting me, in almost every possible way!!! IMO: The son is on a mind altering drug or has some sort of behavioral disorder. To me the son's behavior went completely over the line of appropriate when he repeatedly stood up touching his male genitalia!! 😲😳😬 I kept thinking, when will the officers in the court room stop this bizarre behavior?!!! This actual case was secondary to the scary show in the gallery!!! 🤦
Don't disrespect Judge Simpson!!! Love this judge 💕
This is painful. Raised by a hoarder (I am an old lady now) & 1 of my surviving 2 siblings suffers from the same. Whoo hee, I know how furious people become when ANYONE needs to enter premises.
It's sad. I don't think he's the sharpest tool in the shed. Someone needs to sit down with him and explain the situation in very simple language.
This dude and his whole "cheery" attitude barking at the judge not shutting up is AMAZING I can just imagine what a dump he turned his apartment into
Real good look with his son back there scratching his nads!
Dude. Just don’t have a couch.
My head start furiously itching when he talked about that.
I've watched many of Judge Simpsons rulings, and found him to be fair, compassionate and tolerant of behavior I wouldn't allow from a child. TFG needs to check himself, as his attitude of entitlement will not serve him well in life.
agreed! i think nmost landlords would argue he is waaaaay to fair to tenants...lol
How Judge Simpson holds his temper with folks is amazing to me. I know he’s had year of practice but the man in a Rock.
The guy back there vigorously scratching his junk really adds a visual aid to the bedbug talk.
Retiring at 60 to live in filth and bed bugs. The American dream.
Legal aid…..there’s your first mistake.
Second is bringing a meth head who still tweaking along with you.
Love Judge Simpson!
He does not get that he is the one who did not allow the exterminators into his apartment. He has obviously been giving them grief for some time. Most landlords do not want to evict a tenant of 6 years where they are guaranteed rent by section 8. Bedbugs are a huge issue. My roommate was hospitalized from infected bed bug bites.
Watch the 15 minute mark, the guy behind in the red sweatshirt stands up and starts vigorously scratching himself. Yeah, I'd say it's a problem.
I’ve said it a hundred times before, and I’d wager I’ll say it hundreds of more times in the future: Watching Landlord/Tenant court makes me so happy I no longer rent, and even happier I’m not a landlord. I try to be compassionate, and I truly hate the idea of people being unhoused, but this mope really worked hard to get to this point. His place that he gets Section 8 assistance in got infested with bedbugs (possibly not his fault], refused to remedy the infestation to the point of keeping furniture crawling with the suckers, not allowing landlord entry to remedy the infestation, got served with notice to quit and didn’t move, had initial hearing and didn’t move, had second hearing and didn’t move, and now complains about finally getting evicted. This process took several months, and I have a hard time drumming up sympathy for a tenant like that losing the ability to get Section 8 assistance and renting again.
My skin is crawling just listening to this guy describe his couch as the problem. I can only imagine.
gotta love the "I'm helpless so if you require me to live within rules you'll make me homeless" nonsense. Like consequences should simply be waived for some people.
I am confused. Is he the one with the bed bug problems? How in the world could he live in a house with bed bugs? What is he hiding in his apartment a dead body? Why don't he want people to come into his apartment?
His Honor is fully aware that he's dealing with someone with mental health issues. With his years (Decades) of experience of dealing with such, he's learned to be more than a little patience. However, even Job had a limit to his patience.
its funny...i didnt get a vibe of real mental health issue but just me...
@@OSGCourtWatch He’s not real high on “The Spectrum;” but in my experience in the mental health field, a lot of symptoms are there. These include, the inability to listen. He also mentioned having “Section 8” housing, which is also evidence of his status.
I don’t think he has a mental issue at all, there’s no indication of that whatsoever. It’s not al ways mental disorders, a lot of times it’s personality disorders.
That kind of physical nastiness often comes with drug use.
This guy is a riot. He first says they don't need to.come in and then he says later he has a couch that's infested with bedbugs, well that's why they want to come in buddy, but then he says he doesn't know how to prep for the spraying. Man, your place is infested you're worried about how they spray.
Whenever a tenant refuses entry into an apartment, it doesn't take a genius to.know why.
15:17 OMG. that’s his son in the red sweatshirt, right? they must have some really nasty living conditions if that guy is itching so bad that he has to *stand up and **_SCRATCH HIS WHOLE CROTCH_** like that for 5 farrrr too long seconds, **_RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE_* 😮💨😵🤢 holyyyyy shit! so gross!!!
😂 it's definitely his son 😂 that jus shows how bad the bedbugs are 🤦🏾♀️ he done brought some to Court with them. I hope they cleaned that court room and treated It jus in Case
The bed bugs are eating up his son.
this maniac is screaming like he's 300 miles away from the courtroom
I think he is the Bug from Men in Black, protecting his brood. It's so obvious, he can't even disguise his voice.
If the tenant is “self applying real and reliable treatment “ that just chases them to the other units… treatments have to happen all at the same time to eliminate
For anyone to call judge Simpson unfair is absurd.
..."I need at least until June". Has anyone else noticed how dirty those "section 8" and other housing assistant residents keep their rental property? When they have no skin in the game, they treat other's property like a dump! I see the same in college students, who don't have to pay anything for their education. 9 times out of 10, those students skip classes, party, and don't pass courses!
He needs another 3 - 4 months to move out. !!!! I'm over this guy !!!
I'm not even a super clean type of person, I'm kind of a slob - but even still, the mere thought of someone knowing their couch is infested with bed bugs and continuing to use it because they "need a couch" is just 🤮🤮🤮
It takes less than 5 minutes to spray for bedbugs if all the trash is cleaned out. He needs to move accept it and start looking for a new place.
Wow!! Get em Judge!!
“I’ve had massive problems with maintenance for the past 6.5 years.” So a grown-ass man has lived 2,400 days in an uninhabitable place? We should all be so lucky.

The highlight was the lawyers face when he said June. The neighbors will have a party when this guy leaves. I hope I never have to live in an apartment again.

If he’s never seen a cockroach, then why is he ‘self exterminating’?
I can’t imagine the frustration level of the landlord/management & neighbors
The problem is that he only wanted to work with them on HIS terms. He made that obvious when he wouldn't let them in on TWO separate occasions. Doing that cannot be considered "wanting to work with them".
