Hello, I’d like to tell a quick story. I’m 11 years old, just finished 6th grade in this pandemic. I’m turning 12 in July. 5th grade was great, until we couldn’t celebrate graduation or do anything for the en dog the year, due to Corona Virus. In kindergarten, I had a talent show I watched at my school. There was a cafeteria worker I had known from getting my lunch, I didn’t know her well of course, she just gave me my lunch. She played acoustic guitar and sung at the talent show, and she played this song. That day right after school, I rode the bus home and played this song on repeat everyday after school. I absolutely loved this song. Before this I had listened to my radio every night whilst I slept, I started playing the radio from this song. Once I got into around 3/4 of the year in first grade, my mother passed away. She had really bad heart problems and eventually had a heart attack. My mother and Father weren’t a couple just after I was 3 months old. But, it really affected my life. My sister, Angel, has a different father than I do, but the same mother. We moved away from each other and with our fathers, so it was really hard for such a change when I was only 5, or 6. Anyways, a few months after that I moved in with my step mother who is extremely rude to me, dislikes me, and would pull my hair when she was ‘brushing’ it purposely. Every night I would listen to this song, it would get me through each and every day. I still listen to this song going into 7th grade. In case anyone is wondering, my step mother kicked me and my father out this year, but I still see her very often coming to her house or her coming to mine. Many of Tim McGraw songs have gotten me through life. Especially the following. Live Like You Were Dying - it tells me to be happy and live my life, have fun and spend as much time as possible being a child. Meanwhile Back At Mama’s - yes, it makes me cry often. But, it really reminds me when my mother was alive, it was an amazing time. Humble And Kind - this song just.. well, raised me. It taught me the basics of life while no one else really could do well at it. Thank you Mr. McGraw, you helped me very much. I’ve always had 2 dreams, 1 that I still hope to come true. 1. All the ones I love to be constantly happy no matter the effect, I’ll take the price. 2. To meet Mr. McGraw, wether it’s at a concert or not, it would be amazing to meet him. He’s gotten me through so much, and I thank you for that, sir.
When your dreams are realized you can feel the pride but always stay Humble and Kind. God bless you man and you can be proud of this song and Humble too if you want to be.
The reason why their facing hate is bc it's very stupid. Not everyone has the virus. Everyone is decived. It's very sad you think it's right for hospitals, nursing homes and funerals to keep loved ones away from each other. Don't care if anyone disagrees but my thinking. I'm not surprised by anyone's comments though
This song makes me think of one of my grandpa's that I was close to. I miss him so much and that line in the song about grandpa makes me cry every time I hear it. 😢 😢😢😢😢😢 I also wonder if my sons will feel the same about my dad when he eventually passes away? He was more than a grandpa to them, he was a better father figure than their sperm donor my ex could EVER TRY TO BE!!!
Needed to hear this song tonight. This is one of so many songs you sing that I Absolutely Love ❤️ Thanks so much for doing this and sharing, God Bless! 🙏🏻 #HumbleandKind

Beautiful Lori Mckenna song. I love the original writers version as much as this one. "visit grandpa every chance that you get, it wont be wasted time" are the lyrics that touch me especially. To all of you that still have your grand-folk around, take this part to heart.

This is so powerful and inspirational that we forget to stay Humble and Kind even now with the Everything going on in the world right now with the Coronavirus and all the craziness going on in the world today this is my personal favorite and has changed my life forever
I was in the self-checkout line at Walmart a few days ago, and this song came on the loudspeaker. I'm not sure what song was on before it, but when this song came on, an eerie stillness came over the store, and I watched all kinds of people, from all kinds of backgrounds, have what I can only describe as a total change in demeanor. I was moved close to tears myself, and had to keep telling myself in my head, "Don't cry at Walmart". I'm laughing a little typing that, since there is something comedic about that guy trying not to be the first one to cry in public to a meaningful song - but all kidding aside, the message this song sends, is something our country really needs more of. We need the goodwill to return, and the manners, and the humility and gratitude. Entertainment is such a big force in how society is programmed, and how culture is influenced. We need to go back to promoting things that are family-friendly, God-fearing, rich in good morals and polite gestures, and which are tools for promoting civility and kindness and decency. Long story short, if you ever see me crying in Walmart, this song is probably playing on the radio - or, I just dropped a family-sized can of sweet potatoes on my little toe, since I always think my arms can carry more than they can, and so I make the mistake of shopping without a cart. Thanks for a nice message, Tim. This was good timing for such a good song. And as a long shot, it would be awesome to see you come out with a full album of songs as meaningful and moral as this. I think it would rock the airwaves, benefit society, and be quite the feather in your cap as a mark of a timeless career.
I've been a fan of yours since 2005. I never have enough money to go to concerts because I'm always helping homeless animals in my community. If you ever perform in Michigan, could you give me a front row seat to one of your concerts? I love your music. You're a beautiful artist.

I think it would rock the airwaves, benefit society, and be quite the feather in your cap as a mark of a timeless career.
I bawled reading this dear friend
I've been a fan of yours since 2005. I never have enough money to go to concerts because I'm always helping homeless animals in my community. If you ever perform in Michigan, could you give me a front row seat to one of your concerts? I love your music. You're a beautiful artist.

@Debbie S • >Hey, I see you’re more of a country girl. would you to go on long drive in a big truck on a shiny little beamer with the ragtop down. Sittin' in the drive while the dogs were all barkin' and waggin' in the truck. Sippin’ on some cold Jack Daniel’s . Coke cans rollin’ on the floor, playin’ songs on the stereo on a half tank of gasoline?! If you don’t mind making new friends. Please do write me via mcleanshultz@gmail.com
