I meet Jeff at a casino the other night and told him I liked his show. He asked if I left a comment and I said no, he said leave a comment. I said I would. Man of my word
I hope his small stack metamorphosed into a large stack.
Jeff rocks!
Hi Charles and thanks for leaving a comment .....you are right.
"Fantastic ! Clip Jeff ". Thanks for all of the info over the years !. Your "hands on " professional insight is amazing! . I Pray that one day to meet you ? Untill then ,GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES
ken karish he was at the craps table as a the shooter. Just before he shot the dice he would scream “COME ON, LETS GOOOOO”
Back when I was knee-high to a grasshopper, I played bass guitar at a place called the Paradise on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston. I went to see them boys play there one night with my brother. We talked to Rudy Sarzo in the elevator, and he was very down to earth with his head in the right place, strictly business. A true working musician! We partied with Carlos and Frankie “RIP“. Carlos was very informative about the business he told us a lot of real facts about what goes on. Frankie said he had only Been playing for a year. He was damn good for only playing one year! We got autographs from everyone but the singer.
thats great and thanks for sharing that
You are one of the most informative miners and I learn a lot from watching your content, Thanks Jeff👍

Pioche is a great little mining town and certainly worth the visit. It's the "real deal". Nevada is dotted with amazing little towns like Pioche. A drive across route 50 will let you visit quite a number of them.

Thanks Jeff for sharing this with us...!
We’ve added this place to our list of places
to visit someday.
Have a great day and be blessed.
Jeff, that shop behind the hoisting works looks like it may have been steam driven, big wide flat belts. The machine in the far corner,, I did not get to look at it,, and yes I saw the electric motor mounts,,,, but there is something ion the alignment that is tickling me. Steam? Possibly a huge old diesel? Before a shift to electric? Shift to electric,,, Hoover dam completion?
Love the history of people's search for gold!
Kelly you still rock brother
Always love watchin' and learnin'! You're one of a kind! 😎👏
Thanks
Amazing bit o history there Jeff. Thank you!

Thanks Todd ...we hope to have you out at the Ranch again my friend
Great to see these old mine heads and winding wheels, having grown up in a mining town (coal) in the Uk I find the history quiet interesting, the Geology is handy to know too, finding lots of shale and mica locally around some old lead mines, got me thinking there could be some gold in these here hills!
Hi Jeff, We love these old mining towns! You never know what you might find there or who you might run into. Brings back memories when we visited there for the first time on our our way up to Mt. Wilson Ranch with Best Friends. Thanks for the tour. Can't wait for Part II. Say hi to Silver Spurs Lila, Pops, Nevada Jack, and old Mr. Bones Slim. Take care my busy friend.
I can feel the history........and memories.......
History Lessons with Jeff.....Awesome!
My friend of heavy metals \m/
Thank you for all your hard work and teaching . You make learning a lot of fun and yeah I'm gonna watch the next video 😁 👍
Great history lesson and info on geo. Thanx Jeff!! Tom
I like these tours very much Jeff, thanks. You should visit Australia and do the same thing.
I know....right
@@Askjeffwilliams They say the old timers in Australia used the oil from Eucalyptus leafs, the powder? since it has arsenic and cyanide in the leafs, they were able to soak their crushed ore in that stuff to leach out the gold? could you do a presentation on that information? the roots of those trees can go 150ft deep and the gold would be absorbed into the trees bark, leafs, branches, everything... could burn the sample of leafs to see gold content without having to dig...or something along them lines?
Pioche on the edge of the Great Basin LOVE IT!
A lot of good information Jeff really enjoy watching your videos!
Great content Jeff! Always look forward to what you will post next!
Very underrated area to visit... I like that it's that way, makes it a nice quiet spot to get away. That'll probably change as things grow. I didn't know about the dude from Quiet RIot working there!! That's awesome! I'll definitely stop in and say hello!
So cool! I guess it's hard to find old pictures of the old mining operations.
That’s been my dream to build a 100% authentic 1880 western town with enough residents to claim it a legal and functioning town.
I'm redoing my house to look rustic.
This was perfect for me right now. Jef thanks again! great instructor.
Hello Jeff

Only one thing, could you get close up shots of the rocks you are showing.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, right over my head but thank you.
Hi Jeff, heard a lot about you from Dan Hurd and Shane at Kleash Guitars. So I thoughts better come see what I’m missing😊 I use to prospect a lot when I lived in California, but now I live in Michigan so I don’t prospect because I got spoiled with the gold in California. But I metal detect now but the best news is I’m moving back to California because all my family is there. I have to wait till my twins graduate high school in 2020. Then I will be back in California in August or September of 2020. I can’t wait to get back to gold prospecting. Sorry for the long history of my life....lol I’ll be watching and commenting on your videos👍👍👍
This is one of my favorite videos you've done Jeff like ive said before if you ever come back down to Georgia im 10 minutes from dahlonega and would love to do some dredging or highbanking with u

Alright, Quiet Riot! I was singing Bang Your Head in a bar back in the eighties when a fight broke out on the dance floor that lasted the length of the song. Go to my channel and listen to Back In Black, Bar Band Cover for a sample.
I need to get down there and try that coffee...that place is too cool.

Most excellent video
Love that cafe, food is awesome and he is very informative about the area, as well as just being a cool guy.
The guy from Quiet Riot was a missing person, aahh Jeff for years. Holy!! You found him nice work.
Great gold mining history video! I want to go there!
I wasn’t clear on how the old timers got the power to run those big “monker” engines?
Carla Normand I’m guessing those were big monker diesels generating the electricity.
Thank you Glenn!
Look at the big transformer Jeff pointed out. That tells me they we sending high voltage electricity a long way to the mine. The transformer then stepped down the voltage so the equipment could use it. My bet is they built a coal fired power plant next to the closest rail line so that coal could be brought to the plant. They then strung wires many miles across the desert from the power plant to the mine.
Thank you Lucky and Glenn, for the vivid and knowledgeable renderings of the “Bigger Picture” of what likely went on in Pioche.
It’s darn hard to imagine just how robust, creative, and ambitious these individuals were who designed and operated these mines. I am always awestruck when I ponder it.
Thanks Jeff, for showing us an operation that is more intact, so we moderns can gain a tiny feel at least for the scope of what transpired in the Wild West of Nevada!
Any fella drinking beer in the middle of the day is A-OK in my book.
Thanks for vid going do the gold dance some day
Long time subscriber first time post. Keep the vidios coming jeff
Thanks Troy for being a long time subscriber and first time poster
I was in Pioche years ago. I had a great time exploring. At the hotel, I fell down an entire flight of stairs. I remember slipping on the top step coming down. The next thing I remember was waking up by someone opening a door and hitting me over 3 hours later. Date: Friday the 13th!
Still waiting, come to the great north Idaho, so common let's... you know
