Beki, this is great! I want to see another 100 videos just like this! Of the dozens (or hundreds) of Vectric videos I’ve watched over the past 5 years, this is the best. I want to learn to do this right here.
Thank you for this superb video Beki. I've made several, as you know, 3d sculpting exactly like you did, but I never thought of using the original picture as a texture map. You're a real artist
Thank you so much for your kind comments, we're glad to have unlocked a new feature for you to try in your 3D modeling projects, it works a treat! Thank you, have a great day
This was a very good instructional video Bekki. Very glad you took the time to put this together and go over each step. I like that you show how to save at arious points and build on the mode but have an escape plan of going back to good points if there is a goof up along the way. i will say that I use two computers for my vectric modeling work a MacBook and a Windows computer. Neither of them seem to work as smoothly as your computer appears to while in the modeling mode. I understand the MacBook is running under parallels so it may be part of the reason why it isn't as smooth. But, my windows version is tricked out with 32GB of GPU, 16 GB Ram, and a 4TB Drive (gaming computer). I realize you were not doing the actual modeling live time for the video because of need to speed up certain parts of modeling. But does you computer work as smoothly as it appears in the video when no intentionally speeding up the process? I am mainly talking about when you use the tools/trigger icons for adjusting heights and fades etc. Your computer seems to work smoothly where mine seems to be "jerky" as I try to adjust my shapes and see them. I am wondering is that me being heavy handed or is there something that I need to adjust to make the modeling process more smooth - similar to how I see you adjusting things. Maybe you can't answer because you can't see what I am talking about, but thought I would throw it out there. Thanks agian for the excellent tutorial. Looking forward to seeing you and Todd in October in Austin.
Hey Rob... Todd here. This feedback is really good to hear. I would really suggest you fire off an email to support... they have a few tricks up their sleaves that might help.
Beki, Have you heard any complaints with aspire since they updated it. I've been having problems while cutting profiles. Everytime it wants to cut deeper than what I have it set for. And it doesn't follow how many passes it's shows. I calculate the profile toolpath but it doesn't follow what it shows. I'd try asking tech support but they have never responded to any question I've asked.
how i move computer scanner picture to aspire ? and make this picture 2D or 3D g-code ? i have some job wood what need scan and add to aspire and then g-code work cut out of wood.
Hey there! You can import 3rd party 3D data into Aspire easily! Thank you!
Love your tutorials will this work with VCarve Pro?
Hello... you will need Aspire to make the models.
Brilliant informative instruction video as usual from Becky but the music ….. 😱Terrible
Thank you, glad you liked it - minus the music! We'll bear that in mind next time. Thank you
What type of wood is that?
Maple, would be the stuff!!!
Why is the project created in Vectric Aspire milled on the plotter in a mirror image?
Hello... it was cut on a CNC...

How to copy a detail with all paths diagonally?
Hey there! Sorry I'm not quite following what you are asking? Could you help me understand what you mean by detail?
