The "Michael Reeves bought a 4000 dollar tungsten cube and we need to somehow turn it into a tax write off" OfflineTV Episode.
Nah, it is 100% Cubert from Ludwig lol
Haha good one 💡
Honestly, I was waiting for the tungsten cube to come back somehow 😂
can't wait to see what they do with 50 gallons of crude oil
I thought it was ludwigs tungsten?
dear otv, can we pweeeaaassseee break more things (in the name of science). i really enjoyed making this video. sincerely, jodi
get slomoguys to do the slow mo for mo slow
This is your sign to go to a wreak room !
seriously though, yall have a micheal, stick him on camera and film him doing some science stuff, its not like he uploads to his channel
Jodi, your fascination with breaking shit was the best part of this video
Please let me join as part time for offline TV.
I love the fact you are using this Christmas gift as a business expense. You guys are smarter than I thought.
Was gonna say the same for this comment, but you only had me in the first half
it being in the christmas video is already a write off, having it in this vid makes it even more secure as a write off
The weirdest double date.
BYE LMAO
is this not ideal???
holy pro hater
@@dawnikarithey are DEFINITELY not hating
Sybau
I see where Cubert went after Ludwig said he lost it
Yeah OTV had a gifting video with Ludwig and he got scammed out of his cube
I was bout to say that also lmao
@@billylo1992 Ludwig always seems to scam others and subsequently get scammed, karma I guess 😂😂😂
itsnt this one the shiny cube thing
@Pafounete shiny "cube" thing is the small cubert Jodi was carrying around
Strong "This has awoken something in me" energy on Jodi.
22:24
Michael is RUclips's resident cryptid; he's on everybody's channel except his own.
You start channel surfing everyone you think he knows to see when & where he pops up.
the first time I started watching OTV I felt like Michael was that one non-RUclipsr friend who hangs out with them sometimes, which is ironic since his channel is the biggest one
@@grey_f98 biggest one despite having the fewest posts, and the most horrendous posting schedule
Soon he's going to go F4 racing in france for the GP explorer 3 lmaoooo
This is THE Michael episode. Peak
when michael gets video for himself is comedy gold mine :D
@@MrDeathbycheetomy guy why do you have to make things weird, cringe and awkward for everyone
I don't usually watch this channel but glad I clicked 👍🏻
Fantastic
See ya next year Michael for next epic episode
It would be if it was on his channel, but works too 😂
19:20 the googly eye's made this a horror scene lol
I love how attached Jodi got to cubert. It started as a misunderstanding, but she really loves that cube.
Such a great xmas gift from Michael
Once the googly eyes were stuck on, it essentially became a pricy pet rock
21:36 this is why you wear a helmet. Yes gurt got his face split open but it didn’t explode. Helmets aren’t meant to prevent you from getting hurt but to minimize the injury. It turns getting a bruise or bump into nothing, a concussion to a bruise or bump (if it has padding), stuff that could cause more serious injuries into concussion and exploding heads into heads splitting.
Also, if you fall in such a way that your helmet grinds and slides against the ground, that’s the helmet getting pulverized and not, you know, your freaking scalp and skull.
@@Jabogers Which is also why if you've made the helmet do any work like that, even if it still looks okay, the helmet is done. Don't re-use a helmet that's caught a bullet for you before, get a new one.
While you're right, you're only half right. Gert in a real scenario would be dead BECAUSE of that helmet. A good helmet would absorb the pressure and then break to disperse it, taking the initial blow from the first impact and then as you inevitably glide along the pavement, the inner fabric shell of the helmet will hold the solid parts of the helmet together to protect from any road rash. Wearing a helmet is important, wearing the RIGHT helmet is a difference between life and death.
Gurt: yo
reading this before getting to that part is crazy, I almost thought this is the OTV murders someone for content episode
john immediatly to the bro defense 6:24
And the fact that they were in sync
Early youtube is us matt created a monster
In another timeline, Brodin did not suggest the googly eyes and I'm so glad I we're in this one
shiny cube thing vs shiny cute thing
What a throwback 😅
That made me remember the whole situation in that video 😂❤ got to love Michael
what is gyro zeppeli doing here
@@linkv3606Well that's where Cubert is from, no? It's the same cube.
Thats CUBERT!
24:35 absolute cinema, the action the timing, all of this in such a short time its beautifull
rightttt!!! it was the best part of the video for me
6:26 “it’s the first dog that came to mind”- John is a certified right hand man 😆
Whoever linked Ludwig the Amazon page for a tungsten cube on a whim had no idea how much they were about to impact the content of so many channels
lol William osman did it first
@@KingFredrickVI THATS WHAT IM SAYING
William osman->Michael reeves->ludwig
@@KingFredrickVI some guy nobody's heard of probably did it first 15 years ago but Ludwig was the one to make a ton of videos about it that blew up
@@SapphicFromSpace Schlatt also did it before him
5:33 Mykul: Oh man 😨😂
He is either disappointed or amused and there is nothing in between 😂
13:37 - i was so sure there was an ad coming lol
Same😂
Remember kids, the only difference between science and screwing around, is writing it down.
and THATS, pretty cool!
And using statistics to analyze the writen down data!
i would say i appreciate jodi’s commitment to the minecraft steve fidget bit, but i’m pretty sure she just loves that thing and held onto it the whole time (rightfully so, it looked really nice to fidget with)
Michael and john are soo good combo i want them to create more content together
Such a deadly duo those broski's
They really give off that "evil mastermind & minion" vibe
"What's his crime, why are we doing this to him?" 4:32
12:05 "you have to 'yes and' me, we're larping as scientists!" is just such a great sentence, really
The reveal of Gurt's face after the drop is like out of a horror movie lmao.
1:18 Bro, I just screamed out laughing that the cube was like the Mjolnir to Lily and Michael said it....
"It's like when they froze and microwaved rats"
Immediate Ad: "Great ideas can come from anywhere!"
Lily you need to know that your awkward moments are an invaluable contribution and OfflineTV would be nothing without you.
what's the opposite of a backhanded compliment? a flattering insult?
CUBERT RETURNS
why is Google telling me that the translation of Cubert is "cover" haha
I'm counting this as a michael reeves upload for the year
4:39 "it's like when they froze and microwaved rats"
Cut to Lilly's shocked face then an immediate ad. Hilarious timing

12:04 “we’re larping as scientists” had me dying
Between this and tip to tip, I feel like michael reeves is gonna disappear for like 5 years without telling anyone. We have been way too blessed with michael content
He even gonna participate in f4 racing on #1 french channel (gp explorer 3)
19:35 They are like a zombies eating human😭
You seem to know a lot about that 👁️👁️
Micheal’s “oh man..” while watching Lily struggle to push the cube off the ladder was pure comedy, and I know comedy…that was comedy 😐👍
21:29 “I think he tanks it😎” *explodes immediately*
I love how this is the MOST Michael Episode on this channel, the concept, the voiceover even The Editing style! Perfection 👌✨️
19:20 The yellowjackets when another person dies in the woods.
1:23 not Michael teaching her how to paralyze herself
Her immediately hoing to try it
“No. No..” my boy was actually worried about his future for a second haha
I love that Jodi just holds the Steve thingy for the entire video
John and Micheal’s brain waves connected during that Pomeranian moment
13:18 Lily is so real for this
This is actually one of the best videos yet. I love how legitimately thought out some of the hypotheses were
I wish they dropped Cubert on Bertcube, my hypothesis is that there would've been sparks on contact in the slow-mo.
18:55 that reaction is perfect 😂😂😂
All of this because Jodi misspelled cute......
She didn’t misspell it. Michael misread it
All this because William Osman, Michael's old roommate, bought one of these in like 2019
Well, she does think her cube is cute clearly lmao
The "Really?" followed by "No" when Lily is trying to life the cube and Michael is just yapping is hilarious
He sounded so scared😭🤣
This is literally a Michael reeves video, but with extra people and extra steps 💀
19:39 the way the eyes both go outwards after the impact is silly
6:00 backshots of the century
wild
tungsten mating press
Trampoline was my favorite break, was super neat seeing how the sand(?) reacted
14:00 ''OH!- am I ?'' **Immediately does the spiderman thing** LMFAOOO
0:23 michael funny voice: "it might look like an ordinary metal block-"
michael normal voice: "well it fucking is. it is made of metal, guys"
funny
I fear I need a whole series of this.
i love how jodi was having so much fun, even if she didn't know much about the math she seemed in her element
5:34 Michael's face 😂😂😂
I couldn’t stop laughing 😂
I don’t know why, but he reminded me of Lewis Pullman as Bob in the Thunderbolts movie.
BROO I WAS ABOUT TI SAY THE SAME THING 😂 “he’s like there’s no way right”
The best moment. 😂
19:02 was the watermelon equivalent of that failed cliff diver who hit the concrete rather than the water.
Was looking for this. Even the way she tries pushing hurts face back together like the surgeons did 😮
The googly eyes made this 100000x funnier XD
oh.. that’s gore of my comfort character 19:10
This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: Huge success. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
2:32 "Cocaine for the first try"
ty that's literally what I heard
I was literally just about to comment this
Michael continuing to prove he's a fucking genius with the idea of ballistic gel dummies for dogs.
If I remember correctly one was made for a Myth Busters episode where they were seeing what happens if a frozen turkey gets dropped on a dog
3:37 literally when I saw it bounce the first time I said “tungsten cube can bounce??” out loud alone in my house
20:12 where's all the people going ,"fun fact, helmets are supposed to break because if they didn't you get full force of thing and because they break you don't get full force of thing."
Toss a watermelon wearing a beanie. The beanie survives. Toss a melon inside a helmet. The helmet breaks. Therefore beanies are better
- Well this takes the lore of Michael misheard Jodi liking “ cube things “ instead of “ cute things “ to a whole new level .
TUNGSTEN is Swedish, TUNG meaning HEAVY and STEN meaning STONE, so HEAVEY STONE becomes TUNGSTEN and swedish love to make several words in to one word
Named by the Swede Torbern Bergman in 1781, Juan did not came on until 1783
Hello and welcome to "Michael spend OfflineTV money on an awesome cube and now we need a way to write it off as a business expense". I love to see things getting smashed
The editing is top-tier. Seriously impressive
6:11 lmao certified Michael moment
MIchael Reeves is definetly in his Content arc. And Im here for all of it!
Michael and John are killing me, what a duo
Fun fact your helmet is supposed to break if its to strong it will crush your skull when it breaks it absorbs alot more
i keep forgetting lily is as old as my aunt
“Oh I do want that” @9:15😂
I was not expecting the trampoline to be so cinematic in slo mo
8:32 well now she likes cube things (christmas special reference)
24:35 this slowmo shot looked like a scene from the movie 'Immortals'..the tungsten cube was a god and the dr.peppers were the titans lol
Reminded me of 300
"Really?" "No" "No" He sounded so genuinely concerned. 1:23
13:24 how many rivers would you purchase when you can sail the seas for free???
why is this lowkey one of the best OTV videos.
this shit bangs.
This is the first video I’ve ever seen of Michael Reeves’s and after going down a content rabbit hole he is now my favorite RUclipsr 😂
So much science done in this video!!! Give these guys their doctorates
10:42 "Each drop is ~9,300 N"
Another fun fact: the bite force of an adult, American alligator is about 9,000 N
Is a hippo stronger than a crocodile? I’m talking about bite
6:00 Seriously this would be an entire channel unto itself, making ballistic gel dummies of animals and putting them through simulated trauma. OTV should do an episode of crash testing with animal dummies.
otv really did their at home rage room
Ludwig’s cube!!!!!
HOW COULD THEY
23:45 “ravioli ravioli… what’s in the pocket-roli….”
the real reason they did this is so they can write the cube off as a business expense
10:45 the force math is wrong. someone multiplied pounds by acceleration (65x32.2), lbs isn’t mass it’s a force. the 32.2 was already built in. every impact is 65 lb impact but it transfers the potential energy. the newtons math they showed would require a 950 kg cube. when you fix the math it’s about a 300 newton drop.
🤓
its acc even less, comes out to about 200 N of impulse. (u calculate the height of the drop and then the impulse of the drop). 300 N would be the force of gravity on the block
I love nerds like you bro! The world needs more 😔
@@burntcookiez6573 you're completely correct, i just tend to think about impact in terms of joules instead of force. i saw that number, realized how crazy it was, and i used the potential energy of stress/strain to solve how i thought the problem would be modelled, the results are close to your statement and less destructive than a direct full weight of the block.
@@themadman3438 ahh that makes sense. i saw 9300 and was like wtf too ngl 😭
Honestly the helmet did well
I’ll be more concerned if the helmet didn’t break
its so funny when michael says something to sound nerdy and then says basically the right thing
24:50 Why am I thinking of Deadpool being thrown out the car in the first movie 😂
5:36 BROOOOOOOO, you can't be making that face while I'm trying to drink🤦♂
I'm a college student majoring in physics doing a minor in science communication and at 11:58 you're absolutely right John! The actual force equation though is F = m x a (Force = mass x acceleration) also known as Newtons second law! a = mx + b is just the equation of a straight line with "m" being the slope of a line (or the acceleration (the rate at which the object is speeding up) of an object) and "b" representing the initial velocity (how fast something is moving) at time t=0. This is of course, only the case on a velocity time graph (the velocity is just the y value and time is the x value, so at a certain time how fast an object is moving). If it were a position time graph, the slope would be your velocity and your y intercept (the b) would be your initial position at time t=0. I don't mean any malice or judgement by this, just want to help educate the comments section and possibly you if you see this! :) Have a great day! If you have any more questions I am more than happy to answer any!
Too smart for me but pop off king
I'm not sure which function is shown at that time, but another formula shown which is applicable is the impulse momentum theorem, expressed as F=Δp/Δt. It's used in collisions to determine the transfer of momentum into each object.
F=dp/dt?
Needing input then
As an AP Physics 1 course taker seeing how they say each drop is 9300N, that means they’re saying mg = 9300 in which m would be ≈950kg which that tells me they’re holding 950 kilograms, seeming very impossible, and unreliable. Thoughts?
@@jontancena They drop it from the top of a ladder, so it has momentum when it strikes the objects. The potential energy gets transferred into kinetic energy as the cube falls.
I haven't even started this video but I can still tell its pure Michael energy
20:05 They should keep the helmet and make it as one of OTV historical item display lol
10:23 did he just say "tuck dape"
Was looking for this comment, tuct dape, It's called a spoonerism
this is the most Michael content I've seen in an year
John and Michael giving big “2 idiots saying “exaaaaactly” to each other” vibes in this
Idk how but these 4 are the perfect pick for this video
