If you’re looking into phlebotomy try working at a plasma center, I did and you don’t have to have the certification, they train you and some hospitals take that certification as well!
It also depends on the state. I live in a state where no matter what if you're hired as a phlebotomist you need a certification/training allowing you to do so.
At the hospital I work at, as a CNA we rotate on our floor taking the position as a sitter. It's part of our job description - so it isn't a separate job at my hospital! Awesome video though, amazing job opportunities mentioned!
Thanks for sharing this because that is very interesting! It is neat to see how things are different in other areas of the US. Thank you for watching the video and for your comment!
Would this apply to premed students in general. I'm really hoping to become a surgeon and would much rather gain experience working in a hospital as opposed to working at McDonalds for the time being.
Yes, absolutely! I've met many pre-med students who started out in many of these professions. You will gain great experience and make a little bit of money along the way.
Can I just say I LOVE YOU! thank you so much for all of these extremely informative videos. I am a new mom and wanted a new stable career with flexible hours and also want to genuinely help people. I definitely want to work in healthcare and was considering grad Tech But realize that I want more responsibilities as far as helping the patient. I am a photographer so taking pictures of the inside of people's bodies sounded really cool however I want to do more so I'm interested and CRNA period I am literally starting from the bottom I am taking my pre-reqs starting this summer and separating from my baby for the first time but I know our future will be bright and opportunities to travel and make good money and a good example for my daughter it's very exciting and scary and intimidating all at the same time again thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I'm so glad you like the videos and find them helpful! Congrats on your new baby...such a blessing :) Your goals sound awesome, and I think you will enjoy nursing. CRNA is a great career that offers a great salary. I wish you the best this summer taking your pre-reqs. I hope my RUclips channel can help you along that journey. I wish you the best and again thank you for watching the video and for the comment :)
Thank you for all your help. Your dimensional analysis videos also helped me during my final and I am sure they will again for chemistry #dimensionalanalysis #nursing
Stop I'm tripping because I need to pay off my tuition all on my own and I don't know if a part time job can be enough to pay it off or if I should just go straight into a actual job 😭

I've been a transporter, sitter, and pcna. Highly recommend all positions. I work full time and in nursing school full time. Somebody help me :)
Those are great tips! Thank you very much!
my least favorite assignment was a "Sitter." Our CNAs are the sitters at my hospital.
Thank you for all your help. Your dimensional analysis videos also helped me during my final and I am sure they will again for chemistry
