Yes, I agree that the supernatural force Restraining Evil is the Holy Spirit in some form. But I can't say it's the Church in the physical sense that's currently under attack by Apostasy. The the Church that has become Worldy? Satan doesn't Restrainm or cast out demons...so I will keep studying 🙏

My question, however, is the following: if we (the saints) are to be raptured right before the great tribulations start, who are those, acc. to Matthew 24:40-41, that are going to be caught up, after the tribulation of those days…and after the powers of the heavens will be shaken in Mat. 24:29? Does it mean that there will be people raptured before the very start of the great tribulation, while others will be snatched away before the wrath of God? In other words, is the rapture going to take place in two phases/waves? From my humble understanding of the scriptures, the rapture is to take place once, that is; right before the wrath of God is poured out on Earth!? Looking forward to your answer! I still have a problem with the Temple; which Temple? If a third Temple - there can be no holy of holies as the third Temple is built by man and not God. Thus you cannot call it the holy of holies as God never dwelt there.

But isn't the church referred to as the "Bride of Christ"? So when it states until "He is taken out of the way", how can we say the the church is the restrainer? Also, is the word "he" not singular? Just a couple of questions.

The Holy Spirit isn't a Restrainer, who has benefited if the Holy Spirit restrains the revelation of an Anti-Christ? What is going to happen if the Anti-Christ is revealed? Do the Holy Spirit restrain the revelation of the Anti-Christ but allow the lawlessness to happen?
Interesting thought about the church being the restrainer. I would say the Holy Spirit in the church is the restrainer primarily because of the gender of the articles. At first referred as "it" or neuter gender and then later in the passage in masculine form "he". The church is female "she". Why would Paul refer to the church as restrainer in the masculine when she is always female everywhere else? At first neuter and then masculine as a Spirit and as God makes sense in terms of the gender used for the Holy Spirit. I hope that makes sense.
I would say church is the Bride of Christ-she- per Ephesians 5:25-27. I can’t think of a single reference to the Body of Christ as he. Where would that be? 1Cor12 refers to the body as it.
I have read, and believe, what the Bible says about the great falling away before the man of lawlessness is revealed. And I understand that "he" (the antichrist) will not appear until that which withholdeth is removed, meaning the Holy Spirit and the Body of Christ. Many preachers and teachers (Dutch Sheets and others within that same group) have said there will also be a great revival, a moving of the Holy Spirit where millions of people will be saved before the Rapture. My question is... where in scripture is it written about the great revival?
2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; If i’m hearing you correctly you’re saying that that Day of the Lord will not come except there be a falling away first. But the scripture also say and The man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. So isn’t it true that the man of sin will also be revealed before that day, the rapture. I’m really enjoying your teaching and rightly dividing the word. It’s a teaching that’s extremely rare in these end times.
That day (the day of our gathering unto Him - rapture) will not come unless the Lawless one be revealed first. Okay, that's clear enough. And if the apostosia is not the rapture, then the rapture cannot happen until the Lawless one is revealed. Right? So the church cannot be the restrainer.
If the Church is a SHE (Bride), are you sure that the restrainer is the church (He)? _but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till _*_HE_*_ is taken out of the way_ it seems the HE is the Holy Spirit (who is designated in the scripture as a HE) - I do agree the Church will be removed when the HE is removed. Now ask yourself these questions: Who knows the time of the last days? Only God the Father knows, right? Who hands the sealed book to the Lamb? God the Father, right? The church is “he”... the BODY of Christ. The nation of Israel has always been “she”.

The problem is "that day" Paul is referring to is the coming of the Lord and our gathering unto him. This is the rapture.

He could have been using the word now as now in the story.
