I was so lucky to have my favorite all time band Trooper come to our little town of Hudson Bay Saskatchewan. First we got to see them at our arena. they were awesome. 2nd time they come to a new bar Kellys Place. Not only seeing a great show. We got to sit and talk to Brian and Rae for two hours. I have every album and cd`s they ever made. Still after all these years. Still my favorite band. I wish them long happy healthy lives. Love Ya Trooper
Hot Shots was my first actual album I owned, boy did I play that to death!! All their hits are timeless and still played everywhere I Canada. Seen them back in 2010, what a show! Those memories will last forever.
I grew up in Washington right on the border near Vancouver and we got all the Canadian rock. (14 C-fun was the hot radio station) I loved it then, but now when I listen to it I have a much higher appreciation for it as realize even more how good it was.
Hero’s of my youth. Short story if you’ll oblige me..🇨🇦 Back in the late 70s there was a painter/artist who had a small cubicle in my local (Scottsdale) mall. He would sit just outside it sketching people as they sat still in a chair. Others would gather & watch the resemblance take shape. Across from him was the mall record store..Alley Cat Records..where I bought my Trooper 45s. One day I walked out of that record store, and also stopped to watch him drawing someone. Stuck my head inside the tiny shop & saw a Trooper promo B&W on the wall. The lady inside asked, “Do you like them?” I confirmed how Trooper was the best band ever! 💙. She said..”well the lead singer is my son, and that man outside is his Dad. If you’d like, I’ll get you one of those photos signed by him!” I was gobsmacked! Went back the next week to claim my prize, and, to this day, still have my Sam Feldman autographed TROOPER promo pic!! I never forgot Mr. & Mrs. McGuire 🙏 So deserving for Trooper to be in the 🇨🇦HOF 🍻
My mom bought me "two for the show" for my birthday when i was a kid. I know she liked it too. Kids at school noticed my mother looked older than their moms because she was.The lyrics always meant something to me ,even being a young kid
I saw Trooper in the late 70's at Lincoln Theater in Port Angeles Washington. It was the best concert ever to grace our town! We all listened to Canadian radio and fell in love with the band!
Around 4,000 views is not enough for this video. Trooper is one of the best rock bands to come out of Canada-of course alongside April Wine, Rush, or Loverboy to name a few. They are legendary, I don’t understand why they seem so unknown outside of Canada. The fact Hot Shots went platinum SIX TIMES makes me so happy-makes me proud to have it on vinyl in lovely condition. That album is one of my prized possessions. Each track is gold, thanks to it I found some of my favourite Trooper songs like ‘Round, ‘Round We Go and (It’s Been A) Long Time. Trooper is such a stellar band, I only wish that outside of Canada, they were more well known-like all other great Canadian bands should be, though at least Rush has more of a worldwide recognition. Trooper deserved so much more, especially having more of their performances and videos properly preserved, which I have seen done with some of them. I love them so much, this video is a very nice look at the band. Thank you for making this!
Ra McGuire and Brian Smith relate the story in that interview about how producer Randy Bachman insisted they needed just one more song to complete the 1978 Trooper album Thick As Thieves. That led the pair to dust off one of their early collaborations, Raise A Little Hell, which subsequently became the band’s biggest U.S. hit. Left unmentioned was the rest of the story: Super-religious Bachman strongly suggested the song’s name be changed to Raise A Little Heck. Thankfully, the band pushed back hard enough that producer Randy-who was a Mormon at the time-dropped the idea.
And in my own personal opinion,And I considered myself a Trooper fan and me and my family lives in our Pacific Northwest Canadian major city called Vancouver,British Columbia's regional district called Richmond ( Island City,By Nature ),British Columbia for 31 years. And I also love the vintage, old and classic Trooper hit song called Pretty Lady. And Trooper professional Canadian rock and roll band is famous, legendary and known all over Canada and the world. And Trooper is in the same " rock and roll echelon " like Bachman --- Turner Overdrive,Prism and Rush as well as Triumph including Loverboy,Streetheart and Blue Rodeo.
Saw them perform, great show, every Canadian should see this iconic band at least once.
Hey... they were here for a good time...and a long time
Great people, that I was lucky to meet in 1975 and we have been friends, ever since. I am so proud of these fine folks. Bravo!!

Saw them a couple times, great show each time.

Canadian Rock is second to none....

Their self titled LP was GREAT (and 'Two For The Show' was no slouch either)
I've always believed and said, that Canadian Rock is in another class above all them American bands.
Congrats 🇨🇦♥️🤍🎆
Trying to find a song from the radio I heard on the road... sounded like Trooper with something about howl or howling? does anyone know?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The goat
Why is David Steele fronting?
As a Gen Z American, I wonder why they weren't bigger, or at least as successful as April Wine.
Next week in attawapiskat, trooper, concert 😂,,fresh mosquitoes and black Flys 😅
Sadly Trooper is just a tribute band without Rae and Brian. Sad that they're just pretending to be the real thing.
SMOOTH HERMANS CAPE BRETON IN 80S MAN THEY PUT ON A SHOW!!
Lots of good hits, but sorry Rick, they are not the greatest rock 'n roll band in Canadian history. That honour goes to The Guess Who, IMO.
