My sole source of transportation even throughout peek south Louisiana summertime heat is a single speed cruiser that I pieced together from 5 diffferent bikes that I pulled from roadside trash piles a few years ago after my truck was stolen, destroyed by the thief and abandoned at a gas station on the edge of town. So when I watch these bike videos I'm in awe of the luxury y'all get to cruise around on for fun. They've got to be so much fun and great way to step out of the middle of the daily rat race most of us run in order to get some fresh air and mental recharge. Love seeing good things happening to great people. Especially when they are putting in the work the work to live in the moment and taking no blessings for granted.

I never wore a helmet when I was younger but now I’m over 70yrs old I feel I need one too protect my older head! That was a beautiful ride around the lake.
I’m from the “no bike-helmet” era too. (late 1950’s-early ‘60’s) Btw..I am so impressed with how Stella’s outer ears are healing…she looks & acts like a totally different dog now. I am so grateful to you both for saving her. What a lovely area to bike through..thank you for taking us with you. I would prefer the white bike as well as I’m short shanked 😉
Hey guys this was so much fun!!! What a great way to spend time together AND get in some exercise!! Guys you might want to consider doing this a couple of times a week. Giving yourself this time is great for the body and soul. We all need that❤
Norma here. Thanks for taking us on such a scenic ride. No helmet era here too. I loved my bicycle and would ride it everywhere, but haven’t ridden a bike for at least 25 years. These e-bikes look like so much fun.
My personal opinion is that a bike is a great way to get exercise, so I would use the electric when I needed a little assist when I got tired. Great scenery around the lake.
You need to get personal mics. Jason and Brooke & Stephanie and Buddy use them and we can hear conversations to easily. Looks like fun. I would love to get a pair for us. They also make an adult tricycle that is electric. Much love and God bless . . .
What a nice ride by the lake. Those bikes are really nice. Really like the feature of being able to pedal or not pedal. The bikes are quiet even when you use the power to do the pedaling. Blessings to you both. 🚲💕
I enjoyed the bike ride. I never heard of helmets when I was a kid and camping with my 90 Honda never had a helmet. My parents never knew I guess or the friends they hung out with. Out of four close family friends none of us wore helmets. I want an ebike and one of these days I'm going to get one. Thankyou guys , you did great and looked cute.
That ride was so pretty. No matter what your wearing your having fun. Everyone I watch are getting these bikes, I'm 81 but I think I would like one. It would help me get more exercise. Lester, as kids we used to get a few of dad’s playing cards & some clothes pegs. We would peg the cards to the spokes to deliberately make that noise. Would annoy the hell out of me now though🤣 Take care & cheers🥰

Great ride around the lake. So interesting to see other areas. The more I see and talk about e-bikes, the more I want one. I’ll be traveling to Mississippi soon, and my girlfriend has one. I’m going to try it out. They have the helmets that talk to each other. I’d definitely need that with my husband. He has hearing loss from years in the army.
What a fun ride along. I don't wear helmets either. I'm 54 and we are the tougher generation. We went skate boarding also with no helmets. I admit when driving my motor cycle helmets aren't always worn. If on freeways and highways def. wear them.

I used to wear my boots riding a bike after getting a shoelace caught in the chain once. Yoga pants are comfy so 100% like Jami's outfit. Lester, remember as kids we would clip cards on to make noise, well your fender is doing that for you. Honestly didn't notice it when you were riding. I think for 80 miles it better be down hill or you need to peddle 70 of it.
On that ride, I really don't think you would need a helmet. Of course, if one of the 'good ole boys' came along in his battered truck, you might wish you had one. I grew up in the 50s and we rode bikes everywhere without helmets. Now tho, city folks you really do NEED a helmet! Oh and leave your stupid phone in your pocket! Cell phones have become a hazard of life nowadays. Nice ride, if I didn't have knees like your father, Lester, I would love to ride one of those. Really lovely! I to was brought up in the no helmet generation. Unfortunately all it took was a bad fall from a horse and another really bad head injury to change my mind. An ER doctor also scared the living daylights out of me and my husband by telling us about all of the major head injuries he treated and how those people turned out, to change our minds. Now horseback riding and biking riding never happen without a helmet. I never thought my husband would change because he saw how I. got ridiculed by our friends for wearing a helmet, but he didn't care what was said by them. He told them that putting on a good lightweight helmet can save his life and that was all that mattered to him.

I sure hope you can stop that fender noise. Jamie, you can always get a CLOUD 9 comfort seat, or even a NOSELESS BIKE SEAT like I have. I have both seats, and prefer the NOSELESS SEAT. No pain at all.
We love our ebikes we ride about 40km at a time in distance between 15 to 45 km per hour, we are old school too, we don't have throttles on our bikes, we love our heads and wear helmets, I suggest you think about wearing them because once you get use to the bike you really enjoy going faster and further.
My husband and I need to look into these bikes! We have 2 Harley’s but this would be nice to ride around our housing development. Peddling would be good exercise…then…when we tire out we can use the battery feature. (We are in our mid and late 60’s)
In an HOA they're only ALLOWED to use certain colors for roofs, houses, etc. EVERYTHING up to and including any additions to the property need to be APPROVED by the association. An HOA was the bain of my mother's existence in Spring TX. Severe draught one year. Her grass died. Got a letter from the association saying grass needed to be resod because hers was dead and brown. They threatened a fine and I forget what else. I told her to get a can of green spray paint. She couldn't paint the soffit of her house the color she wanted. These people who buy in an HOA don't really have control over their property!!! Not to mention they pay monthly payments (which are not included in the mortgage) to be controlled.
Oh I so wish I could afford one of these, it would be a life saver! I expected more back in my taxes but that didn’t happen so a bummer! They look awesome!
Hi friends. Seats can be changed easy. When the peddle is at it's lowest point, peoples leg need to be able to be fully straightened according to the pros. If you can not do that, your knees are suffering big time due to the unnecessary strain.
