Good info! I believe that a successful wash day is the foundation for moisturized, healthy hair. When I effectively cleanse, deep condition, moisturize and seal in that moisture, my hair retains a that moisture for a least 4 days. I only have to re-moisturize my hair one time between my weekly wash day. It took a bit of trial and error to get there though.
WHERE THE HELL I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING MOST CHANNELS THAT ARE NOT EVEN 4C HAIR PEOPLE!!! We thank God for this day. I can kiss you girl!! You just delivered me!
Very realistic and helpful tips! You puff is cute and I can tell your hair is moisturized. :-) I am so happy I found your channel. Also, I like your earrings and lipstick.
It’s hygral fatigue. When I first went natural, I experienced it because my hair was so dry that I consistently moisturized. I also never pre-poo’d so that added to the problem.
You gave the best advice: "if all else fail, find a good professional". I'd also like to add that since you seem to live a healthy lifestyle in Florida, your hair escapes the evilness of winter and poor health side effects.
Looking beautiful Lexi. I am in love with that high puff. It really suits you. Do you have a tutorial for a high puff? I’ll probably go looking right after I watch this but if you don’t, pleeaase consider making a high puff tutorial? 🙏🏾💜 No pressure. I just love this look and I may not have hair anywhere near your length or thickness but I would love to see how you achieved this look. It’s just so gorgeous.
I agree learning my hair was one of the best things knowing how to care for and the health and growth of my hair is amazing I’m loving the journey of learning 💕
I always tell people who always ask how do I make my hair soft, it needs moisturizer. A lot of them don’t deep condition often, and often would tell me that they are moisturizing their hair daily and will still be dry. I chose specific products that I know will give me amazing moisture for sure. For instance anything that has honey is going to work great in my hair.
Do you have a nighttime hair routine video? I always struggle with what I should do with my hair at night so I've just been putting it in a bonnet. Also do you feel it better to moisture at night vs in the morning? Thank you #bestyoutuberever
New subscriber here! I almost freaked out when you said you moisturize 1x or 2x a week - I definitely spray my hair and oil every day. It is still so dry though! I watched your steamer review and I'm thinking that would really help. I also looked up hydral fatigues (lol) and that's not the issue either. I am 4c and feel like I've plateaued! So happy your hair is like mine and I found your channel!
My hair is literally always that . I use 2B hair extension but my hair never looks black n shiny even when deep condition 😓 u can see for urself in my videos. And I would go to professional but I haven't had good experience I'm the past because they never want to do my hair without blow drying because its so kinky and tangly.
Excellent moisturization tips and tricks! I especially like your tip about the best part of being natural is being able to trial and error different products/techniques for your natural hair.
Yes looks can be deceiving because its so relative. I consider ur hair to look soft shiny and moisturized while u described ur hair as not super shiny but moisturized. My hair is really dull n chronically dry no matter what I do or what products I use
Very good REALISTIC advice! Your 4C hair is GORGEOUS!! I feel comfortable asking you about one of the trends that’s going around...I don’t follow trends when it comes to caring for my (4C) and my daughters’ (4A/B) hair. I have to do my research instead of just going for the hype. Rice water. Is it really a way to grow your hair faster? Is it even SAFE to put water from RICE in your hair???😳 I haven’t seen any of my trusted natural sisters on RUclips speak on the validity of this new trend. Please advise 😊
I totally agree with everything you've said. I have a hard time remoisturizing my hair midweek cause it doesn't work so I just cowash and reapply the products and that works for me.
Heyyyyy 👋🏽 I do my hair very similar to your regime. And if I feel my hair needs a little more moisture, I put a drop or 2 of honey in my deep moisture conditioner and my hair responds right away. I’ll alternate the following week with a protein type conditioner for balance😊
You mentioned hair movement, no matter how often I moisturize my hair its soft but has no movement. When outside if the wind blows it moves but if I shake my head it does not move. Is that a sign of dryness my hair grows out instead of down. Right now I'm having to moisturize & seal every other day,
So have you used the LCO or LOC methods? I would start there for sure. And Lexi has done tons of videos demonstrating an array of products and combinations that are effective for her hair.
How often do you wash your hair? Washing it every single week may help, if you do not do that already. I have noticed a big difference in my hair since I started washing it every week. I use a clarifying shampoo on my scalp each week. I may use a moisturizing shampoo on the rest of my hair. But every few weeks, I make sure to clarify both my scalp and my hair.
My hair doesn’t have a natural curl at all. I’ll let it air dry after moisturizing and after letting it dry it looks like I blow dried it 🙁only way I will get curls is by doing twist outs which don’t turn out good sometimes (also I’ve never had a relaxer)
What about elasticity? I’ve always look at some natural hair vidz and noticed when they pull their hair it snaps back. I love that and would like to achieve that. What products do I need to get or what ingredients do I need to look for to help add some elasticity to my hair?
Fatumata Gumaneh thank you!! I was thinking that but wasn’t sure. How often should I do the protein treatment? My hair isn’t damaged it’s pretty moisturized and healthy. So, should I do a protein treatment once a month?
Malika Smith it depends, i use protein balancing deep conditioners every other week and use moisturizing ones alternating every other week. So if use a moisture deep conditioner this week next week I’ll use a protein one, then the following a moisture one and If I feel like my hair doesn’t need protein then I’ll skip it and use a moisture one. It’s based on how your hair is looking and feeling like
A strong protein every 4-6months depending on your hair. But you can use protein/moisture dc weekly or alternative between protein free moisture dc one week and light protein DC the next.
How did you get that puff?....... it looks so nice, shiney and sleek...if you already have a video on how you do your puffs just link it for me please....Thank you
I’m fairly new to your channel, my hair is Lo-Po but likes the LOC method. I’m still trying to figure this out but it’s very frustrating. Can you tell me what a Kureadew (sp?) is and where to find it please?
@@trinitykelly8150 I will try the LCO method again, but when I first started it didn't work well at all. I'm still trying to find the right cream for my hair. I'm thinking lighter creams and oils may be better for my really dry hair. Once the water dries my hair is dry.
If you are using a co-washes or gentle sulfate free shampoo exclusively, you might need to clarify your hair. You could have build up that is keeping your hair from receiving moisture. Also, for me, I found that oils are not my friend. A good leave-in and cream styler is enough.

Gurl you look glowy and beautiful!!!
Like so much in life...it’s not about what it looks like but how it feels😊🤗❤️🌹
Love your wisdom💖
Can you do a moisturized but defined high puff routine?
Your hair looks super shiny as well as moisturized. Moisture is my biggest struggle. Thanks so much for the tips!
Your makeup is gorgeous and looks effortless, the best highlight!

Very true. Looks can be deceiving with our hair.
You always have the bomb earrings and makeup. 💖

I know we shouldn’t go by look, but when my hair isn’t moisturized it has this grey-ish tint to it. It’s not the rich black like your hair right now

Mine too, but mine is soft to the touch.
I appreciate you too boo!! For all your information that you give. And your honesty 💖

What's a good protein treatment you use?
Doretha McElliott hi 👋🏽 I use old school ORS hair mayonnaise. And the deep moisture is by Giovanni eco chic vegan
You always deliver great tips!

Much needed video
I know I’m late in the game. Love those earrings. Where did u get them?

Yes thanks for this video I have been natural 6 years but I still don't understand it so this is so helpful for me💖👸💖👐🏾👏🏾😘😘😘
No matter what i put on my hair or how much water i drink, no product has ever moisturized it.
Yikes! That’s not good.
So have you used the LCO or LOC methods?
I would start there for sure. And Lexi has done tons of videos demonstrating an array of products and combinations that are effective for her hair.
Same here , I always have this feeling that my hair drys very fast 💨...

Do you deep condition with heat? Love your videos btw
I love all of your earrings
Very helpful. I’m trying your water, oil and cream method to see how that works for me. Thank you 😊

Malika Smith you might be needing a protein treatment on your hair, that’s what gives your hair that bounce back because the bonds are not broken.
Fatumata Gumaneh thank you!! I was thinking that but wasn’t sure. How often should I do the protein treatment? My hair isn’t damaged it’s pretty moisturized and healthy. So, should I do a protein treatment once a month?

Thank you for the video. 💜💜
How do you deal with breaking high porosity hair?
I’m fairly new to your channel, my hair is Lo-Po but likes the LOC method. I’m still trying to figure this out but it’s very frustrating. Can you tell me what a Kureadew (sp?) is and where to find it please?
its a handheld hair steamer the q-redew you can find it on their website qredew.com/
