  • A watermark is an image or text that appears behind the text in a document. In Microsoft Word, you can insert a custom watermark by following these steps:
    1. Go to the "Page Layout" tab in the ribbon.
    2. Click on "Watermark" in the "Page Background" group.
    3. Select "Custom Watermark" from the drop-down menu.
    4. In the "Print" tab of the "Watermark" dialog box, you can select an image or text as the watermark. If you want to use a picture as the watermark, you can click on the "Picture Watermark" option, and then select the image you want to use.
    5. You can also customize the appearance of the watermark by adjusting the brightness, contrast, and scale of the image.
    6. Once you have made your selections, click on "Apply" to insert the watermark into your document.
    7. You can also put watermark in word by clicking on "Insert" tab on ribbon and then "Header & Footer" and Select "Watermark" from the drop-down menu.
Note that you can insert watermark in different version of MS word like Word 2016, Word 2019 or later version.
