0:55 - So, I actually worked on set for the filming of these two beautiful films. Unfortunately the SAG/AFTRA Strike occurred 5/6th of the way through our filming. When that began, NOBODY could go back to the sets, AT ALL. We all know how long the strike lasted, and it was needed. BUT- we lost a lot of the original items that you will see in the films, props, set pieces (we actually had to rebuild an entire new munchkin land set), and unfortunately we lost so many original costumes. Now, I do believe they saved SOME of the dresses, BUT they had more than one bubble dress used in filming (I believe they used 3). One was saved. Props and set pieces are few and far between. Thank goodness we had all of the designs saved. Glad you enjoyed everything. Stay wicked.
The Glinda ballroom dress is also very similar to Disney's Pixie Hollow garden fairy Rosetta who is voiced by no other than the original Glinda, Kristen Chenoweth. Now that it is rumored, that the Wicked series by Maguire will continue, I think Troy Sivan would make a wonderful Liir Thropp, the illegitimate son of Elphaba and Fiero.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Love the spirit jerseys - the emerald city pajamas look really cool and comfy. I wonder if they will keep the Wicked experience up until the next year because there's still going to be a part 2 of the movie or just rebuild it again to fit the part 2.. Otherwise, will be seeing the film this Thursday, so excited!
Thank you for sharing the awesome Wicked experience video! The merchandise is beautiful and great quality, I like the contrasting colors of pink and green for Glinda and Elphaba. Universal Studios marketing team put a lot of details into the merchandise, might've been planning and making deals with their 100+ collaborators since the Wicked movies started filming. Thank you!
@@MattAndAlexVlogsMaybe if they make a lot in the box office ? Then they can get rid of the Marvel area, so that way we can get Avengers in Disney World and a Wicked land. Especially since Wizard Of Oz is a major ip and with Wicked then Universal could have a land based on the land of Oz and Wicked a permanent presence in the Universal parks.
Warner Bros owns the rights to the 1939 Wizard of Oz film and is actually opening a land in Australia. Universal would have to jump through a lot of hoops to get those rights for theme park purposes, which is why I don’t think we’d see it ever happen.
@@MattAndAlexVlogs But maybe as long as they have it mostly Wicked movie theme then maybe it could work. All they really have to do is just make it more in line with the Wicked movies than the original Wizard of Oz then they might not run into any problems.
Love how they painted Elphaba’s mannequin green.
I thought that was a nice detail too!

They have shirts in all sizes, but mostly men’s and women’s shirts. The kid shirts are limited.
To make new themed land
Would be cool! But don’t see that happening
