    Why is your x² 2.8 instead of 2.4 and why is your y² 0.7 instead of 0.6 and also why is your y¹ 2.5 instead of 0.6 please explain

      Those values could have been used. However one is advised not to use the plotted points as they may not always fall directly on the best fit line. But since those values do fall on the best fit line they could have been used.
