Your average American has no idea what it takes to immigrate and become a citizen of another country. No idea at all. I became a citizen 22 years ago. There is a lot involved with the paperwork. Not to mention the cost of applying ($750) and knowing all the correct answers to 120 questions that are on the citizenship test. Do you think you could pass that test? Imagine having to know those answers if you didn't go to school here and English is not your first language. I studied for two years and yes I passed the test on the first try. It was not easy.
I too waited a long time to become a citizen and did so in Obama's last year as President; watching this brought back the overwhelming joy that I felt then... I am proud to be an American!
Are you? Maybe you should learn what America did to Mexicans in 1890 - 1920 because it involves concentration camps. Im an American and im not Proud, America has dark history that it trys to hide. I served in the Military and I feel even worse. No one should be Proud to be an American

The land beneath Dodger Stadium once belonged to Mexican-American farmers, but it was taken by the government using eminent domain to build public housing. Instead of a housing project, we got Dodger Stadium.
@@BHP_farm Dodger fans are overwhelmingly Latin American, we call it Chavez Ravine, there are merchandise items in the stadium stores printed with the words Chavez Ravine. We all know, even the non-Latin American fans know. My 9 year old knows, the post office clerks who never go to games know. Most of us know.

With these new citizens, what the government must do is to secure their safety and security, especially nowadays, gun violence and public abuse, hate crimes are rampant and getting worse every day..
